A dream come true

Don’t expect too much.
Revisado: 11-24-23
The writing and story is basically terrible fan fiction, granted I’m not a huge fan of radio drama formats, but the story is really god awful. The performance however is excellent and the “book” is saved by the characters you know and love sounding great as they navigate this terrible “and then” plot.

Great setting and fantastic pacing ruined by a slapped on ending.
Revisado: 07-16-21
The author really knows how to set up a story and somehow manages to move the narrative on with perfect pace. I just couldn’t finish the book when (general vague spoilers incoming) story beats are explained by a prosthetic mask (I kid you not) the enemy not being so evil after all and that nukes are bad okay? I still have an hour to go, but I just can’t deal with the sudden silliness of circumstance and just the general corny message I feel like the author is trying to convey.
It’s too bad, but I get the feeling the author wrote himself into a corner of a sort. He’s clearly talented though and are more than willing to try another book of his.

Great content, horrendous editing (if any)
Revisado: 10-20-20
I have a hard time knowing wether to recommend this book. For one it’s very informative and inspiring, but I don’t know if the author was scammed or simply chose not to have any editing or sound production done.
Audio and structural oddities you can expect.
Author stumbling over words and restarting sentences (multiple times)
Author coughing and sneezing (once or twice)
Exact same phrasing of content appearing in multiple chapters.
Book saying it’s at its conclusion only to go on for another hour.
These are just some of the strange oddities you can expect. I was bothered at first but after awhile I found it almost endearing and hilarious how unprofessional this recording is. It makes me wonder what the story behind it is. If things like that is an absolute no go for you, I can’t recommend this book. However I still found this book immensely helpful and motivating. There is so much useful information contained within and given there aren’t many growth investing audio books out there, I still enjoyed this one, despite its.. well lack of any editing whatsoever.

Very brief review. 3/5 stars.

Frustrating first half with a stupid protagonist. Exciting second half with great pacing. Also the ending is a bit lackluster.
