Whine No More.

This will be the last Noah Wolf book for me. I kept listening because I liked the characters in the beginning, but now they are getting on my nerves with all the whining they do. Neil is the worst! Now everyone sounds like him. Even the new guys Sam and Denny whine like Neil. Also, I have listened to a lot of assassin stories, and these guys are the most touchy-feely assassins I have ever seen. And, I'm sorry Adam Verner your accents are terrible! The German one sounded like a Spanish Neil. I don't even know why so much time was spent on Sam and Denny who are really not needed and do nothing to help the story along.
Noah is supposed to be this unfeeling hard character well, not so much. All the things he does says he cares and has lots of feelings. I don't mind but don't keep touting that he is unfeeling. I just can't take the whining and the inconsistency with the characters to listen to another of these books. Dropping The Mike.

An Avon Romance Would have Been Better

What would have made The Cain Conspiracy better?
Nothing the story was juvenile.

Would you ever listen to anything by Mike Ryan again?
Not if he is still writing like this!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Charles Hayward?
Although the narration was bad, in all fairness he didn't have a good story to work with. I would not recommend anyone narrator this book.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger at how stupid the story was. What sniper doesn't know what K.O.S. means? I'm a preschool teacher and I knew what it meant.

This is the worst covert operation book I have ever listen to. Nobody checks their computers for trackers, they talked on the phone openly, they told everybody and anybody where they were going on their "secret" missions. This book had more interpersonal relationship drama than covert operations. And, besides the narration being horrible they story really has no end.

No, the story was ok the kind of stuff I like but there were some gaps in the story.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Not enough explanation is given about what happened to get our hero where he was.

Bad guys finish first!

Most all the characters were bad people. The supposed good guys acted worse then the supposed " bad guys. Most everyone sounded like whinny petulant children! If I could give this back I would. I listened to the whole thing to see if anyone in this story got their just dessert. They didn't. I will never listen to anything by this author again!
