Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

This book was different than my typical listen. I was entertained and felt as though I become friend with the characters and didn’t want it to end :)

Historia
Jesus promises peace and trouble for his followers. But most of us accept the peace and are confused and angry when adversity comes our way. All-American soccer star Mo Isom knows the struggle firsthand. While her life seemed like a success, she was battling an eating disorder, the suicide of her father, and a horrific car accident. It wasn't until God wrecked her life that she discovered the glory of renewal through Jesus Christ and that wreckage can be sacred rather than scarring.

Officially on my favorite list

This book is such a relatable story of Mo’s testimony- full of hard things that seem more common and others that are unimaginable for many of us. Laced through the story of her relationship with God is biblical truth that is challenging and encouraging. I can relate to various parts of her struggles through her story. Her effective articulation of how she continued to seek God’s will is incredibly inspiring. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be passing it on to friends!
