I loved this story. It started gently and gathered pace until I was hanging on every word. A love story, a war story and most of all a story of redemption and overcoming incredible odds. I can not recommend it highly enough. As an aside, the author’s notes at the end of the audiobook are fascinating and worth the purchase on their own.
