Historia
Transform yourself into the heroine of your own life story by embracing the power of manifestation and choosing your own path to success. As a child, you believed what you were told—without question. Nobody warned you that by doing so, you were negating the person you were meant to be and erasing your authentic life story. It’s time to rewrite your story through specific, deliberate, intentional manifestations that tap into and give shape to your innermost desires.

Nothing new here
Revisado: 04-20-25
I was so disappointed in this purchase, and for some reason Audible will not let me return it. There is no new information here about manifestation. There are some cute, memior-type stories, but I listened to over 2/3rds of the book and found no actual info about how to manifest, go beyond the law of attraction, co-creation, etc. It felt more like a social media series of posts or podcast. I'm so surprised by its (other) high ratings and glowing reviews. It definitely was not for me.

I’ve always enjoyed Rebecca Campbell’s books, but this one is by far my favorite! In fact, I enjoyed the audiobook so much, I bought myself a physical copy so I can refer back to it. It has been transformative for me. Highly recommended!

I'm really surprised by this book's high rating. I have read quite a few books on intuition, and while there are a few gold nuggets in this one, it's not that great overall.

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about…
Revisado: 09-10-22
3.5 stars.
I mean, it’s not the greatest book ever written, but it was fun!
I’d say: Light and entertaining.
All the super low reviews are perplexing to me. Because, while it’s not the greatest, it’s far from the worst.
Again, just think light and fun. I think you’ll find it.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

4.5 stars I enjoyed this audiobook from start to finish! Both of the main characters were likable and entertaining. I guessed the “plot twists” but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable. I gobbled it up like a delicious dessert! I may have even cried some happy tears at the end.

A little too “traditional” for me
Revisado: 12-15-21
This novella was sweet, and anything with dogs — especially rescue dogs — gets an extra star from me.
But there are definitely Christian leanings here (which is fine, just not for me). Another turn off for me was how Nick kept describing Mary as “tiny” over and over. It came off gross rather than a compliment.
And at one point Nick spoke to Mary in a way I would not let any man speak to me, basically telling her what to do. Not as a suggestion or a question, just a demand. In real life, a command like that would be a serious red flag, especially after only knowing each other a couple of days.
Having said all that, I’ll say again that it was also sweet. I liked quite a bit about the story itself, hence the 3 stars.

Historia
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

4.5 Stars
Revisado: 08-12-21
What a charming, wonderful story! The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars (for a contemporary romance) instead of the full 5 is because it was a little slow to start for me. During the first few chapters, I kept looking at how long it was, wondering whether or not I wanted to finish it.
I’m so glad I did.
Check the trigger warnings before reading, but other than that, it was delightful and came around in the end. I love the representation of both Asians as well as biracial people, and the mental health plot points. Well done!

Historia
It’s 1929 in New York City. In an apartment high above Lexington Avenue, the painter Georgia O’Keeffe feels stuck. At 42, she should be at the apex of her powers as an artist, and yet something is missing. Her husband - the gallerist Alfred Stieglitz, who helped build her reputation in the art world - has grown needy and insecure, not to mention unfaithful. More than this, her work has lost its fire, and she knows it. The calla lilies and poppies for which she is revered now seem careful, predictable.

What a lovely story!
Revisado: 03-05-21
This audiobook left me wanting more, but in the best of ways!
Cynthia Nixon did an amazing job narrating (though that’s no surprise!)
But what did surprise me, as a long-time admirer of Georgia O’Keeffe, is how little I knew of her life story! I was aware that she traveled between New York and New Mexico, but this book filled in so many beautiful and heartbreaking details. Now I long for my own place, far away from everyone! And I long to know more about Georgia O’Keeffe’s life.
Highly recommended.
