Each story is unique. Some were better than others

The characters in each story were an example of a different dynamic. That made each story interesting for a different reason. While that made some stories more interesting to me than others, I think most will find stories that appeal to them in this collection.

Good story with a few issues.

I prefer Renee Rodman as the narrator. No offense to the narrator, I just like Renee for this series. I wasn't a fan of the recaps. I thought they broke the continuity of the story and made it feel choppy. I did like the updates on other characters that had come to be invested in over the course of the Edge/Inkeeper series. I liked getting more background on some of the reoccurring characters as well.

I didn't immediately love it. It did grow on me. The characters weren't really engaging. However, their personal growth did strike a cord with me. I'll try next one. We will if the next one improves my opinion.

I has a hard time finishing the story. It wasn't interesting enough to keep my attention. The characters don't make me feel for them. The heroine does not seem very smart or capable. I will not be getting the other books in this series.

I loved this story. It seemed to wrap up and tie together pieces of the origin that had seemed incomplete before. It also could stand on its own as a story of a life and a love.
