Abundant plot twist

Over all this is an intriguing story for the first of its series - lots of plot twist, interesting characters and definitely a page turner. The narration however was lacking. The voices did not have nuances needed to distinguish them a part. Had to relisten multiple times to determine the speaker.

I expected more

After listening to the tarot academy by the same author, I expected more. I’m very disappointed with the narrations. The male voices were stuffy and monotone. Not much excitement was expressed. It made the story drag and hard to finish.

Except for characters being super natural, this is a weak story with no character development. The beginning started out good and had a lot of action. Too much emphasis on the mundane towards the end made story too long. It was hard to finish.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Gabby needs to confront her husband and her friend Angel. She did neither. Having everyone else take care of her problems took away from the story. Gabby did not grow as a character. Also, the author tied up all the issues too quickly.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Like the rest of the story, there were no surprises.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Nina Burns portrayal of Gabby brought the character to life. However, her male characters could have been better.
Was Submissive Beauty worth the listening time?
Once is enough. You can eat one potato chip. There's no addiction here.
Any additional comments?
If you are looking for great sex scenes, this the book for you. However, the story line needs to be more developed.
