Historia
I'm Charisma Carter, tech genius and nerd extraordinaire. I actually used to be Charisma Silverstorm, member of one of the six elite Arcane Families, until my family shunned me when I turned 18 because my magic wasn't strong enough. However, where I lack in magic I more than make up for with the tech I develop, if I do say so myself. Apparently I'm not the only one. From the minute I received my diploma as a magical engineer, it seems like my world has turned upside down. Now, members of all six families are competing to get me to work for them.

Good story, performance ok
Revisado: 10-27-24
The story was good and entertaining. the main character's inner monolog made me laugh a lot. the female reader did fantastic. she captured the tone and emotion of the story. her voices for characters were good and distinguishable.
The male reader's characters all started out sounding the same in tone. as the books progressed, he developed some slightly unique voices for the male characters. But the tone he read in didn't always match the way the book said the character was speaking. and often the cadence and tone of characters completely conflicted with how the female reader read them. by the 4th or 5th book they started to feel disjointed.
the series would have been dramatically better if the female reader had read the whole thing.

Historia
When the Elorsin brothers venture onto our estate in search of a mysterious bird, just in time to catch me on the wrong end of my master’s temper, they somehow also acquire me. Acquire, kidnap, rescue - is there a difference? Sure, four of the scariest immortals in existence may actually have saved my life, but blending in as a servant in the Elite training castle that I now call home is almost impossible with these four powerful, dark, and broken men focusing their attention on me - and it’s not always good attention.

good story

Overall good story. wish I had noticed only two books were on here. I wouldn't have started if I knew I could finish.
