Happily surprised

I've read 186 books on this app and thought I was scraping at the bottom of the barrel when I got this book and I've never been so pleased to be so wrong.
It's a story that has the whole Chinese cultivating thing as the primary magic system which I always thought was lame especially in Manhua except in this book it gets simplified enough for my smooth american brain to understand and really enjoy.
Similar to the book cultivating chaos but with masterful writting and narration like the book herald of shalia. I was delighted to see allot a character progression with not only the MC but with side characters as well.
Biggest pro: MC isn't an idiot and has logic behind decisions.
Biggest con: a bit to many side characters can be hard to keep track especially because they're all named and relevant.
Suggestions: get a better editor or have some QA done at the finish of the book, there are quite a few mess ups in edit with the narrator's repeating lines or long stops which can be immersion breaking. Also consider having the female be the primary story narrator. Females are typically far better narrators with the exception being Nick Podehl. Although that part is only my opinion so please take it with a grain of salt
Conclusion: This book is a great story that takes place in another world? But without the reincarnated trope so many other authors are adopting. Give it a listen you'll likely want more just as I do.

Loved the story of this book but I'd pretty please change out the editor there are allot of mistakes and also the are two narrators a male and female don't have them take turns on chapters have the male do the male voices and have the female do the female parts I mean c'mon.

worst sin a book can make... it's boring

it started off pretty good but my good Lord does is it get slow drawn out and down right boring normally I can at least finish a whole book before giving my option but this book is the exception. narrator is pretty good tho I think it's just the material he was given to try to work with.

Bad turn to the series

The first book was really good but I'm extremely disappointed in the direction this series is going. The main character gets continuously kidnapped because his girls are messing around on him. Then he agrees to be a cuck. But the worst part is that the story just starts to become boring.
