There was less self doubt at least.

I think in books 4-6 there was at minimum a full chapter dedicated to Jason's self doubt about him being a good person. It hit old. While I'm glad this book and 7 didn't have that, I didn't much care for the last 2.5 hours of this book being dialog about changes to Jason.
As always, Heath Miller carries the story with his performance.
