Historia
Donny Herbert was a hardworking Buffalo city firefighter who, in December 1995, was searching the attic of a burning house when the snow-laden roof collapsed. For six minutes he was without oxygen. A beloved husband, a father of four boys, Donny fell into a vegetative state that lasted nearly a decade. He was, for all practical purposes, gone. Until one day, in April 2005, when he woke up and spoke almost nonstop to his family and loved ones for nearly 18 hours.

Sad yet inspiring story of perseverance.
Revisado: 12-22-23
The ending was rather brief, but the background was solid and well detailed. Overall very well told .

Historia
Did you know that most of our dinosaur fossils were discovered because two grown men absolutely hated each other? It’s true! Rivals! Frenemies Who Changed the World is a riotous audio exclusive, like if Monty Python taught your history class. Each volume of four 30-minute histories will dig into the petty name-calling and grumbling grudges that led to many of the world’s greatest advancements, all delivered with a cheeky sense of humor. Choose sides: Cope or Marsh, the jerks who discovered so many dinosaurs; Hamilton or Burr, whose rivalry fueled American politics; and many more....

Warning for parents...

Some good stories, but the comedy falls flat.
Revisado: 07-24-19
The stores told were interesting, but the odd attempts to add humor were off putting.

not very helpful
Revisado: 05-06-19
This audio book is essentially just a list of memory techniques being read very fast. There is no depth or details provided, and the examples are brief and rushed. Even the quotes from various people are rushed, with no information about who the quotes author even is. Overall this was a let down.
