Useless in audiobook format
Revisado: 01-12-25
This book is useless in audiobook format. Why is there not a PDF of the meal plan and recipes? Do they really expect you to sit there and write everything down while listening to the audiobook (which I usually do in the car or while doing chores)? That would be totally impractical. Don’t bother with this unless you like listening to recipes read aloud and have a photographic memory. Also, the sound quality is very tinny and annoying. The author also spends way too much time listing off many scary diseases and health issues so if you have health anxieties, this could be triggering. A lot of time is also wasted on common sense advice. This book could have been half the length.

In this spellbinding novel, Lestat, rebel outlaw, addresses the tribe of vampires, telling us the mesmerizing story of how he became prince of the vampire world, and of the formation of the Blood Communion, and how his vision for the Children of the Universe to thrive as one, came to be.

Weak plot and entirely wrong narrator for Lestat
Revisado: 10-22-23
I really liked Atlantis, but this book was completely unnecessary. It really could have been a short novella or an extra few chapters at the end of Atlantis to wrap up the vampire Chronicles. Very little actually happens I kept waiting for something more, but it never came. Also, while the narrator would have been fine for some other audiobook, he was completely wrong for 1st person narration by Lestat. I found myself annoyed by his voice for most of the story. If you’ve read every other vampire Chronicles book, then I guess this one is worth the closure, but it definitely doesn’t hold up to the others.

Lousy recording
Revisado: 07-11-23
The sound levels between the interviewer and Trent are way off. Most of the time you can barely understand the interviewer, if at all. Therefore, the context of Trent’s responses are often unclear.

Do you want growing magic mushrooms in your garden's home? This audiobook is for you! Two recent studies show magic mushrooms or the psychedelic medicinal psilocybin, which can have important advantages. As we know, magic mushrooms naturally occur, which are usually dried raw or dried and drunk in tea or coffee, and which have hallucinological effects. There are many different types and varieties of magic mushroom with different strengths. This guide on psilocybin mushrooms simplifies the cultivation process and gives some suggestions for making safe use of them.

Terrible narration
Revisado: 03-06-23
This was so hard to listen to. I think it was an actual human narrator, but it sure sounded like a robot. Also, the grammar is terrible, as if translated poorly from another language. I wish I had trusted the negative reviews and not wasted my time, unfortunately, there’s not a lot of material on this topic, especially an audiobook format.

Flowery poetic word salad

Too bad I hate poetry and am allergic to flowers...
So glad this book was short. I was lost in the language for half of it. If you like poetic writing and love letters, you might appreciate this but I did not.

Great story but horrible fake accents
Revisado: 06-10-19
Eva’s accent is an annoying racial stereotype. All the screaming is also highly annoying, especially through earphones. This made a lot of parts painful to listen to. I’m hooked into the story so I’ll keep going but the performance is no longer enjoyable.

Historia
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Surêté du Québec and his team of investigators are called in to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal. Jane Neal, a local fixture in the tiny hamlet of Three Pines, just north of the U.S. border, has been found dead in the woods. The locals are certain it’s a tragic hunting accident and nothing more, but Gamache smells something foul in these remote woods, and is soon certain that Jane Neal died at the hands of someone much more sinister than a careless bowhunter.

I couldn't get past the dull performance.
Revisado: 05-01-17
The story was probably pretty good but I couldn't get past the dull performance. The reader has a great accent but little expression and did nothing to differentiate the characters. I often lost track of who was speaking and many of the characters blurred together as a result. This left me confused as to the sequence of events and I eventually lost interest.
I did like the writing style but the mystery wasn't very interesting to me. I might try another in this series if they have different voice talent.
