I really wanted this to be good, but ..I get it, everyone is gay. OK. Why it constantly has to remind us gets annoying after awhile. Really unnecessary and tiring.

So many mispronounced words

I enjoyed this but, as with some other audio books, the amount of mispronounced words is baffling. Really annoying.

Chapter 13

I got this book because I think she is a great musician and songwriter, I wanted to know more about her.
From almost the beginning something just felt …off? I started caring less and less about her story.
Knowing how she was raised and her faith didn’t bother me.

Until I got to chapter 13. I just thought this woman was so self aware and thoughtful. Then, she starts having a bit of a difficult period and decides to get baptized. Which is what many people do, turn to god. She said she read all these religious books and of course the bible.
I’m perpetually baffled by ostensibly smart people that don’t even question this stuff. It’s so easy to find out about how the bible came to be. And there just isn’t any evidence, real evidence to believe any of it. I could go on.
She turned to “god”. Good for her. I don’t feel the same about her though.
I returned this after reading less than half.

Also, Andy’s tv show “controls the universe “ is a classic, IMO.

History and the hard truths. I’ve known about T Bone since the 80’s. I learned some things and enjoyed the performance. One of the better Audible originals in my opinion.

is this book so highly rated?
It really was annoying how every mundane thing the “astronaut” did was described in way too much detail. It felt like any little thing went on for chapters.
It seemed like he was just trying to add pages or take up more time.
The “alien” was unbelievable and unbelievably disappointing. Unbelievable may be the wrong word, ridiculous is more appropriate.
I am baffled by all the great reviews.

Stories are not worth putting in a book

I only got through about half, The anecdotes are not good and he gets things wrong. Dylan didn’t write Stage Fright for one.

Annoying mispronunciations.

The mispronunciations are annoying. Klaus Voormann Is pronounced “Voor-MON, not just once or twice, but many, many times.
There are other examples. Don’t they have a producer? The narration of most of the book is actually pretty ok. I just think if you are going to take the time and effort to do something like this, you should get the most basic things right. Ahrrghhh!
