Narration of male part terrible, story just ok
Revisado: 01-17-16
I really liked the narrators regular female voice but when she did the male voice for Mason it was so awful it was distracting. It was robotic and had no emotion. I couldn't get used to it or tune out my dislike of it so it grates on me the entire time. In terms of the book/ story line, it felt shallow. The emotions were kept high level and there was no angst in transitioning into unexpected roles or feelings. For example Mason didn't struggle with falling in love at all even though he never planned on it or had loved before. She didn't struggle with becoming a submissive or finding out her best friend was, even though she was apparently clueless about this lifestyle. Everything just kinda happened and the characters just went with the flow.

Just ok
Revisado: 01-09-16
Overall is really 2.5 stars. I struggled through this one. First I'm not a big fan of this narrators style or voice so that made it tough. It felt like her expressiveness was always off. Emotion put into places where you don't expect it and then coming off very flat at other times. The other struggle was I just didn't like Amelia. She was just so boring and a little too perfect for a woman that had wronged her kids so largely previously. I loved Mickey and the kids. They were what kept me going. It was a refreshing story line in a lot of ways but I just couldn't get excited about Amelia and I kept thinking Ok, let's move this along.

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

As usual...
Revisado: 12-11-15
Colleen just gets them right every time for me. This story is heart breaking and beautiful at the same time. It is about pain and loss so deep it breaks you to the point of no return, or so you think. But the human heart can always find capacity and that's what this story is about. I loved it. I did find it a little distracting that younger Miles had a very unique and specific cadence (the way he thought which was very repetitive and almost like a song) but when Miles was in present day he didn't speak or think that way. Maybe that was on purpose to further illustrate how broken he was but I had a little trouble connecting the old and current Miles because of it. I got past it though. Great work as usual.

Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight-A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn't want - and the only person she's never tried to please. She isn't afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won't listen.

You will fall in love with these characters
Revisado: 03-03-15
So well written. The characters feel like best friends. I was so invested in Rule and Shaw's lives and even the lives of the secondary characters. Bought the next book in the series immediately!
