I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

Super cute fun romance
Revisado: 05-28-24
Another delightful story by Cara Bastone. Was it a little silly and pushed reality? Sure, but who cares? It is a fun, light rom-com with great narration and a unique story. The only thing was the lead guy was a little too over-the-top with his perfection and selflessness. It is also fun how this book ties some of the characters from the other Love Lines series. Give it a go.

Historia
Iris Nightingale is more than okay. She has her life planned out to a perfect schedule. Work, run, sleep, repeat. She spends her quiet Friday nights sitting alone on a bench in the park, trying to push back the memories that no amount of running can help her escape. But one evening, there’s someone else on her bench - Hunter. Tall, wry and infuriating: everything about him gets under Iris’s skin. Little does she know that he's about to upset more than just her routines...

Cute Story with Fantastic Narration
Revisado: 05-28-24
First, let me say that Jenna Coleman was fantastic at narrating this story. We all knew where this story was going and at times it was infuriating how Iris caused so many of issues through her unhealthy mindset. Hunter, was wise enough to get therapy when he needed it, and she needed it so much more. But aside from that, there is a twist that I never saw coming, and it is a doozy. Was this the perfect romance story? No. But was it a pretty darn good one with an amazing narrator? Yes!

The BEST Rom-Com on Audible
Revisado: 05-07-24
The writing, the story, and the narration were all excellent. It was a wonderfully cute love story between Kitty and Leo, but more importantly, it was a journey of Kitty finding herself and loving herself. It truly elevated the rom-con. Any fan of the genre MUST listen to this book.
And kudos to Claudia Jessie. She was brilliant.

It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Super Cute and original story
Revisado: 05-04-24
If you like fun rom-coms, this is a great one for you. Great narrators, a fresh cute story that really draws you in. It drags a little in the middle, but it is still a great, fun, romantic story that will have you hating everytime you have to stop/

This isn't your usually cozy mystery. This fun twist has residents of a senior home out sleuthing and solving murders. The story is great and the narration is wonderful. If you are a mystery fan that doesn't like going too dark, you will love this one.

Cute, Fun, and Festive
Revisado: 04-30-24
This was a fun, light holiday romance story. It did drag occasionally but was overall delightful. The only weird thing was the male narrator was way too intense for a light, fluffy romance. He seemed more like the booming baritone of a coming soon sci-fi trailer. But this was cute and fun so defiantly worth the listen.

Historia
The story that made Agatha Christie famous ends with one of her most dramatic twists. The villagers of King’s Abbot are shocked when a wealthy local widow commits suicide and the very next day her fiancé, Roger Ackroyd, is stabbed to death. Dr. James Sheppard, the local physician, discovers the body of his friend and narrates the ensuing hunt for the killer. All the guests and staff at Ackroyd's country house seem to have solid alibis - except for his missing stepson.

7 Hours of Toxicity and Manipulation
Revisado: 04-30-24
I am not sure if this was supposed to be romantic or erotica, but one thing I am certain of is that it was a road map of red flags to avoid. The lead male character, Monroe, is manipulative, controlling, and just a horrible person. The female lead, Julliet, falls under his spell and needs a real therapist. When she finally makes a healthy decision, Monroe swoops in and manipulates her to go against her own self-care to feed his selfish ego. Basically, the story's moral ends up being that a woman needs a man, even a self-centered, manipulative one, to be happy.
The narrators were really good, though and the story could have been cute and fun if not for the dark shadow that Monroe casts.
