Following the events of The War of Two Queens, Casteel tells the events of From Blood and Ash — chapter for chapter — to Poppy while she's in stasis. What makes this better than standard alternate POV is the chapters of the 'Present' interspersed. The narration is astounding — the kind where you forget that the same performer is voicing multiple characters. I preferred listening to this book rather than reading it. Since I was already familiar with the world and characters, I could easily follow the details.

Beautiful performance! Story is uneven in places but a delight nonetheless. The bonus is the poetry within the narrative (although not as good for me as for the characters?).

I liked Mister Romance as well.

I wasn’t expecting to like this book as much as I did. I honestly couldn’t put it down so the audio helped.

I fell in love with the three main characters (and a Moby Duck) and look forward to learning more about the others in their own romances in the series.

It’s a steamy one, mainly because any sexual tension and actual sex always propels the character development and story forward—something I learned from the author of Outlander Diana Gabaldon).

The audio performance was excellent and adds to the characters. Only a notch below Julia Whelan.

Low quality phone interview, only for professional speakers

This 'audiobook' is a meandering conversation that was conducted on the phone for a podcast. The speaking quality is poor. Only a small portion of the 'book' covers how to use props but only in the context of professional speakers. I was hoping for guidance that I could use in Toastmasters speeches and found very little useful information. A significant part of the conversation revolves around selling props to corporate clients so the audience members can keep them as a reminder of the speech. Usually, interviews of this quality are available for free from the websites of professional speakers (e.g. Judy Carter).
