Historia
When the black rain began to fall, it was a worldwide phenomenon that mystified everyone. There was little time to ponder the cause. Most animals died at the onset. While some humans were unaffected, others experienced a half-death of sorts, morphing into blood and flesh-crazed creatures with a desire to hunt the living. Climbing Fox Wattana of the Henomawi Nation claims responsibility for the black rain; he says it will will ensure the ultimate extinction of the United States government as revenge for robbing his people of their land. Cole "CB" Baxter isn't taking this lying down.

It's okay
Revisado: 04-11-24
It is not the most action packed book I have read by Mr.shellman but it will do. I love his series of "Blue Zombie". It is just not scary enough for me. I still like the book. It is worth a read.

Revisado: 03-26-22
It takes forever to set the mood/tone of this book. It took hours just to hear what the so called zombies look like. I was more frustrated than anything. I dont care for this book and will not recommend this book. It is all over the place.

Historia
As much a historical document as it is a novel, this 1946 winner of the Houghton Mifflin Literary Fellowship Award is the poignant and unblinkingly honest story of Lutie Johnson, a young black woman, and her spirited struggle to live and raise her son by herself amid the violence, poverty, and racial dissonance of Harlem in the late 1940s. Originally published in 1946 and hailed by critics as a masterwork, The Street was Ann Petry’s first novel, a beloved best seller with more than a million copies in print. Its haunting tale still resonates today.

No black privilege
Revisado: 06-13-20
It just seems like a lot of black people can’t get a break white people have stepped on our bags for generations and they are still doing it and we allow them to step on earth and continue to go alone and black women in the community always have to deal with somebody trying to rape them from the dairy silly uncle silly brothers to the people in the street you know this lady went through a lot and it’s like ongoing cycle the boys will end up in jail as of today I’ll either end up murdered by the police and the women will become even cleaning statistics

Recommended review for "That Girl Is Poison"
Revisado: 12-12-19
“That girl is poison” is a funny but sad book. You should always be nice to everyone. Always treat others like the way you want to be treated. This little girl in this book was treated horribly wrong since the fifth grade. I hate that her mother promised her a graduation surprise and never came back for her. Her mother left in the care of her aunt and uncle. Desire never felt loved and almost always left loney. It was a terrible memory for me when Desire lost her bestfriend Greg. He turned out to be her real brother. Greg always warned Her to stay away from Malik but Desire did not listen. Desire contracted “H.I.V” through unprotected sex. Desire was horrified like anyone would be of the deadly virus which turns into full blown “A.I.D.S”. Desire was just so young. This girl took more ass whippings from her mean ass aunt. This child was puniDesired for breathing too loud. My favorite part was when Desire went back for her little baby. Desire was so angry Desire started passing this deadly virus to everyone that Desire could infect including all of those who mistreated her in her life. I hated that Desire went crazy in the end of the book. I love this book and I approve this book for reading on audible.com

Vest spoiled rotten review
Revisado: 12-12-19
“Spoiled Rotten” was a fantastic book. I rated this book 5/5. I love the bond that Jason and Trouble share for one another as brother and sister. I think that it is wonderful that Jason is like a dad to his little sister. Trouble should be her name. She doesn’t mind fighting, saying what’s on her mind, and claiming what is rightfully hers. I am so in love with her boyfriend Darryl. I love his mannerisms and talent. He has a escalade given to him for his off the chain balling skills. All sorts of Scouts want him to attend their school. Darryl is not really interested in playing basketball as a profession. His heart is set on becoming a engineer after high school. I hate his “hood rat” baby mother Jameelah. She always uses the baby against Darryl and Trouble once they start dating. Trouble gets so jealous and is ready to end the relationship with Darryl. They break up like twice in the book. Overall Darryl really adores her. Once Darryl returns back from basket ball camp, Trouble tells Darryl the kiss she has with a character named Woo.Woo and his baby mother sets up Big Mike. Bike Mike is Jason’s best friend and brother. Once big Mike is robbed and finds out Woo and Woo’s baby mother is behind it it goes downhill from there. Woo gets played by Trouble in the end for her brother’s Jason’s murder in the end. This book is a thrill seeking, attention grabbing, and heroin story. Never get too big for your britches!!!
Revisado: 12-08-19
“Thugs Cry” book 1 is the shit. I feel that “Ca$h”, the author really delivers on this one. I love how this young black man got so hood rich and famous. I love that his girl Tameka was down for him when he started at the bottom. It was so sweet how they loved eachother. It was so cute how she would get crunk on him when he acted up. I did not care for CJ when he let the money go to his head. He never was the type to play games with people in the streets. I was so hurt when Tameka and CJ’s little sister was murdered. It made me cry. I love cash but I hate that book 3 is not out yet on audible. I hope Ca$h gets this done fast, quick, and in a hurry. I recommend reading this book.

Domestic violence is nothing to play with
Revisado: 12-06-19
I know we all have been abuse at some point in our lives whether it be our parents friends so-called friends enemies somebody has violated an ass but it is good to forgive the way Jesus Christ says because you can’t hold the hate and bitter mess in your heart if you want to be forgiven by the Almighty God get out while you can if you or someone you know or in a violent relationship if you only lead to one of two things down or jail I recommend this book

It's a vampire!!!
Revisado: 12-05-19
“The Fold” is a cool book to read. I loved these vampires. They are a different type of vampire. I just really loved how “Slade” came back from Mississippi with his two other brothers to reclaim the love of his life. He didn’t care that she was a vampire. He loved her regardless of her illness and any life altering situation. “Slade” was a very loving and forgiving man. I think his little brother “Audio was so funny in the book. He kept getting in trouble and would not listen to anyone. He just tries to have sex with any woman who will give him some. This book is a spin-off to “Red bone” books 1-3. You must read these first to get a full understanding. I love this book and I recommend that everyone read this book.

Recommended Rude Boy Review
Revisado: 12-02-19
“Rude boy” is one of the best books that I have ever listened to. I love how the writer made what was supposed to be a simple vacation turn into a tale of adventure, drama, and mystery. I loved all of the characters. The writer’s words made the characters come to life with the inclusion of the narrator. I just could not stop listening. I promise that this book will be worth the read. I was so happy when the two sadist’s got what they deserved in the end. I was really overjoyed when Omari and D.D ended up together. Finally my suspicions were confirmed when D.D caught Imani slipping at the hotel. Imani was too quiet throughout the entire book. I would have loved for the author make a second book about what happened to that stocker ex boyfriend, Darren and his crazy ass ex girlfriend. I would have love to know if D.D’s brother Jamil ever got caught for those murders. I think you should listen to this book on audible.com.
