Overly drawn out and Narrator detracts

I felt that Brown belabored the building up of Nazi Germany. I was aware that it was bad there and that there were propaganda campaigns against what the Nazis termed the "undesirables." Those could have been shortened as well as some of the turmoil in Joe Rance(sp?)'s life. Other than that it was a great story of how individuals came together to triumph against long odds.
The narrator mispronounced several words which detracted from the read. (Who doesn't know how to pronounce Carnegie?)

I enjoy how his stories progress, even if they are a bit formulaic. There is plenty of action, but I enjoy his characters the best. They come off as human, but with the best qualities and morality of mankind. I enjoy this much more than the "gritty" character that is so popular right now because I still believe there are people in this world that strive to be that kind of person. I like it when the "good" guys win!

Any additional comments?
Herbert's abilities to analyze and predict human thoughts and actions in different kinds of government was amazing. It almost was freaky as to the commentary it made on our state of affairs and this was written years ago. Absolutely amazing!

The book picks up where we left off in bloodsong. I like the fact that his heroes are based on their complex mix of honor and integrity. Ending wasn't surprising, but it was a the worst part. I won't give it away, but it is a trope of the comic books.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I like the way Larry Correia writes. His character often has conversations with himself that I've had with myself and I find it hilarious. He keeps the pace action packed and there aren't any dull moments.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Earl Harbinger. King of the Werewolves, enough said.

He did all of them well.

Plot turns and action continually keep you in a state of being on a "cliffhanger."
