I’m so happy I found this series. I love the magic system in this world and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the way he is slowly growing the MC. I am eagerly awaiting book 4!

This is my new favorite series, just saying.
Revisado: 11-18-24
This is probably one of the best books in the genre I’ve read in a long time tbh. The MC does go through a 2 chapter growth period then become the baddest person in the universe. He honestly feels extremely human and ordinary. I also don’t have to hear about his inner turmoil through his inner monologue every other damned sentence like other MCs from other books (looking at you Jason). It’s just shown. God bless this author. This book is just the next chapter in an amazing story from the first book. I’m hooked. I’m hooked bad. I’m getting just a hint of what’s to come. The world building and character development is outstanding and I will sit here counting the minutes while I eagerly await the third installment.

Historia
When the biggest colony ship in human history was sent to settle a paradise world, an accident hurtled it deep into uncharted space. A thousand light years from Earth, with no way home and no way to call for help, the colonists’ only hope for survival was the one barely habitable planet in range, a nightmare world they named Croatoan. Landing on the only five mountain peaks tall enough to rise above the lethal acid clouds, the settlers carved a civilization from the rock.

Historia
Roughly a month has passed in-game since Thorn's attack on the Twilight Throne. In that time, the dark city has managed to recover and rebuild - growing the ranks of Original Sin at the same time. Which is good, because that brief respite is over. The Avatar of Flame has risen within the depths of the northern desert and has thrown down a digital gauntlet to Jason - with a gate piece hanging in the balance. Even worse? His opponent is none other than Finn Harris, the "father of modern AI". The same man that may have been behind Thorn's attack on the Twilight Throne.

I couldn’t finish it, 6 hours to go and I stopped
Revisado: 08-29-23
The story of this one just falls flat. What can’t they do ffs. Spells and potions mean nothing, the main characters are so overpowered it seems ridiculous. The story just drags for the first several hours, then it’s been completely predictable up to this point. The narrator uses the same voice for every male character, which was excusable in the last several books because the story was good. Now…I can’t even finish it.

When you discover the world is a computer program, and you figure out that by altering the code you can time travel and perform acts that seem like magic, what can possibly go wrong? Pretty much everything. Just ask Brit, who has jumped around in time with such abandon that she has to coexist with multiple versions of herself. Now, Brit the Elder finds that her memories don't match Brit the Younger's.

Brit is a douchebag...just saying.
Revisado: 01-08-19
I love these books. The narrator does an amazing job as usual, but it seems like every book I listen to lately has the same theme. All the men are usually idiots in some way and the women are always self satisfied jerks who have to suffer their male counterparts lack of IQ. I felt so bad for Phillip in this book.
*Spoiler ahead* *SERIOUSLY!!*
*Technically Brit sabotaged her whole relationship by asking her boyfriend to help her. Blamed him for it, breaks up with him and makes it all his fault and everyone just accepts it and doesnt say anything?? seriously?? No one points out how messed up it is and the fact that the only reason he didn't tell her was the entire universe might of blown up come to find out it was all her anyway and she blames him? What in the ****? What is wrong with society where this seems to be the norm in writing now. Is it normal for every male protagonist to be dumb as a rock and the strong independent women selflessly put up with their silly antics ffs? Do no characters have any common sense or backbone. SHEESH!

Revisado: 12-20-17
I enjoyed this book. The narrator got some getting used to at first but by the end he was fine. I high rly recommend it. I sided with Magnus through almost the entire book...Striker seems like he would rather let his friends die than kill without honor. Just my opinion though.

Awesome book Bad pronunciation
Revisado: 10-30-16
Would it KILL the new narrator to listen to ONE previous book so he properly knows how to pronounce names in this series ffs! Other than that he was ok, not as good as the previous narrator but considering he is doing the rest of the books I'll get used to him. Story was as always entertaining and well written. Can't wait for the next book!

Revisado: 08-18-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would and have....and they agree this is an amazing book. Can not wait until the next one...dear god man hurry.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Skin Game?
I can't say it without spoilers...but considering it not only blows my mind but is tied in from several books before...this guy is a genius. When my friend got to it he blew up my phone saying how his mind is blown and freaking incredible.
Which scene was your favorite?
When you realize Dresden is a genius.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
HOLY CRAP ITS FINALLY HAPPENING! Do NOT screw me over hollywood!!
Any additional comments?
Do yourself a favor and read this series. I have not found a series that has constantly gotten better with each and ever book, and considering this is the 15th book in the series that should say something.
