How completely confusing and childish it was

Hated the entire book. The read was bad and the narration just made it that much worse. I had to FORCE myself to complete it.

Loved this book! Where are the other 2 books?
Revisado: 04-15-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Night of the Purple Moon to be better than the print version?
Haven't seen the printed version.
Any additional comments?
Where are the other two books? I loved this book and keep waiting to see the Audiobook for at least the second book! What gives? If it's popular enough to warrant a 3rd book, it certainly deserves an audiobook of the 2nd book. I prefer listening to the audiobook only because I can listen while commuting and don't like switching from one book to another. It's apparent that I will have to suck it up and just 'read' the second and third installments of this trilogy since Audible hasn't seen fit to produce the 2nd and 3rd book.

Disappointed!
Revisado: 02-25-15
Would you try another book from Mark Tufo and/or Sean Runnette?
Of course! I waited forever for this latest installment of the ZFO series but as far as I am concerned it was not up to Mr. Tufo's usually outstanding quality. Seemed like just one long drawn out episode of a tv show. I didn't feel like much thought went into the story; only trying to continue the story to please the masses. As for Sean Runnette, I will read anything he narrates. I actually look for other titles of his even if they are unrelated to the ZA genre.
If you’ve listened to books by Mark Tufo before, how does this one compare?
I recently finished A Shrouded World - Whistlers and ZFO8 doesn't hold a candle to it. I am looking forward to the next episode of the collaboration between Mr. Tufo and Mr. O'Brien more than the next ZFO.
What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Sean Runnette MAKES Mark Tufo's books. They would still be great, but not nearly as good as they are with him. Sean Runnette's voice projects the humor and sarcasm that Mr. Tufo is going for. I think that is what draws me to their combination. I wish Mr. Runnette would do more narration in the Sci-fi category so I could listen to him more often.

Good Read!
Revisado: 04-20-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I enjoyed the final title of this series very much. I much appreciate actually having a FINAL book in a series. The story in the epilogue should have been more detailed and longer. In fact, I believe the plot continuation in the epilogue would have made a great 4th edition (I can't believe I said that!).
What did you like best about this story?
The unique approach of 'The End' scenario.
Which character – as performed by Emily Beresford – was your favorite?
Emily Baxter.

Revisado: 03-19-14
Would you try another book from A. R. Wise and/or Brian Sutherland?
Probably not. Have to admit that the sample of the second book wasn't too bad. Certainly better than the first.
What could A. R. Wise have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Better dialogue, better narrator. The book seemed very amateurish.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Brian Sutherland?
Anyone.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Not really. The sample for book 2 was worth a second look, but don't believe it will be much better.

Jack, a sometimes humorous, sometimes philosophical ex-special operations pilot and soldier is one of the few left to struggle through the desolation left in the aftermath; seeking to survive as a new ferocious species emerges from the rubble, hungry and unrelenting. Will his special-forces training be enough? Will he be able to keep his children safe and guide the few survivors through perils that now roam the world they once knew? Or will the hordes that now own the night prevail, forever removing the last of mankind from existence?

I couldn't finish because the narration was so bad
Revisado: 03-05-14
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I really wanted a new series to start after finishing the last of the Remaining series. Thought I would give this a try. The sound effects and narration was horrible. It was monotone and very distracting. I couldn't finish the book - at least the Audible. I will try and continue reading the e-book because I think the story isn't bad, just the narration. Sorry. I hate to be negative but Mr. Fetherolf is terrible and the sound effects are even worse.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
None of the story was very interesting.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christopher John Fetherolf?
Sean Runnette. I love the Zombie Fallout series and a lot of the reason is Mr. Runnette. Mark Tufo is great, but Sean Runnette makes it all worthwhile.
Was A New World: Chaos (Book 1) worth the listening time?
No. Listening sucked! Hopefully, actually reading the book will prove worth the time and effort, and possibly, the purchase of additional books by this author.
Any additional comments?
It appears that the narrator was changed after the second book. I hope that is true. I enjoy reading and listening at the same time but with this narrator, it was impossible.

Historia
Indian Hill is about an ordinary boy who grows up in relatively normal times but who finds himself thrust into an extraordinary position. Growing up in suburban Boston, Michael enjoys the trials and tribulations that all adolescents go through, from the seemingly tyrannical mother, to girl problems, to run-ins with the law. From there he escapes to college out in Colorado with his best friend, Paul, where they begin to forge new relationships with those around them. It is one girl in particular that has caught Michael's eye, and he alternately pines for her and laments ever meeting her.

Found the plot hard to believe.
Revisado: 12-28-13
Would you try another book from Mark Tufo and/or Sean Runnette?
You betcha! My favorite author and narrator.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Seemed a little unbelievable. How does a college student turn into a General of a highly covert, underground, elite fighting force that is the 'last great hope' of the earth? Seems highly implausible. Enjoyed the basic plot, but found the underlying story hard to believe.
Which scene was your favorite?
I found the killing of the people who wanted to leave the complex very disturbing, but highly believable. Humans are routinely confronted with situations that change their perspective in life and death, loyalty, and basic compassion. I don't believe those sent out to 'remove the threat' as bad people, only humans that feel that the renegades are going to destroy their hope for survival.
Did Indian Hill inspire you to do anything?
Liked it well enough to read all three books.

Revisado: 12-28-13
Would you try another book from Mark Tufo and/or Sean Runnette?
I love the Mark Tufo books as a rule. But I did not find much to like in this book. I enjoyed the majority of the book but found the plot complicated and a hard to follow ending. I love Mr. Tufo's humor and sarcasm and was hoping for more of the same, but was greatly disappointed. I understand that a writer must change courses occasionally but Mr. Tufo's wit and humor is what I enjoy about his writing. I hope that he continues his best serials - Zombie Fallout, Book of Riley and Rise of the Lyncans (Rise of the Lycans isn't the greatest he's done, but look forward to a new installment.
Overall, Mark Tufo is my favorite author of this genre and will continue to follow his series.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
More humor and sarcasm, and less complicated plot. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book but found it kind of non-eventful.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I love the narrator of all of Mr. Tufo's books. However, I felt that he was strained in his normal wit full and humorous rendition.
Did The Spirit Clearing inspire you to do anything?
Not really. I will continue to read Mr. Tufo's books no matter how much I like or dislike this book.
