Historia
After the fall of France in May 1940, the British Expeditionary Force was miraculously evacuated from Dunkirk. Britain now stood alone to face Hitler’s inevitable invasion attempt. For the German army to land across the channel, Hitler needed mastery of the skies - the Royal Air Force would have to be broken. So every day throughout the summer, German bombers pounded the RAF air bases in the southern counties.

This was an incredible account of the few who you don’t hear much about as an American. A horrible part of the war not many talk about. Groups of outnumbers young men fighting against the great forces of the Germans. Beautiful tales must listen to this.

Historia
From July 10, 1943, the date of the Allied landing in Sicily, to May 8, 1945, when victory in Europe was declared - the entire time it took to liberate Europe - no regiment saw more action, and no single platoon, company, or battalion endured worse, than the ones commanded by Felix Sparks, who had entered the war as a greenhorn second lieutenant of the 157th "Eager for Duty" Infantry Regiment of the 45th "Thunderbird" Division. Sparks and his fellow Thunderbirds fought longest and hardest to defeat Hitler.

This is truly an incredibly story’s of a forgotten companies journey through World War Two. Perfectly summed up the 511 day journey of one man’s campaign through Europe in WWII. Incredibly story telling for an incredible man.

Devotion tells the inspirational story of the U.S. Navy’s most famous aviation duo, Lieutenant Tom Hudner and Ensign Jesse Brown, and the Marines they fought to defend. A white New Englander from the country-club scene, Tom passed up Harvard to fly fighters for his country. An African American sharecropper’s son from Mississippi, Jesse became the navy’s first Black carrier pilot, defending a nation that wouldn’t even serve him in a bar.

Truly remarkable
Revisado: 01-17-23
I’m a huge WWII fan got this book paperback and got caught up in work so I couldn’t read it so I got it here and I didn’t realize it was a book about the Korean War lol BUT it was such a remarkable and captivating story I was at work, in the cold storage of a Domino’s balling my eyes out as the story concluded trying to hide tears from my employees. I highly recommend this adventure even if you aren’t into war stories. The perspective and story telling is breath taking and it will go down as one of my favorite books I’m sure.

Historia
Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than 300 miles from its intended course...a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface. Cove and her dive team have been granted permission to explore the Arcadia's rusting hull. Their purpose is straightforward: examine the wreck, film everything, and, if possible, uncover how and why the supposedly unsinkable ship vanished.

Amazing book
Revisado: 01-13-23
The writing style make the book start slow but incredibly detailed and attention grabbing. Turns and twigs at every corner. Supply amazing.
