Great book!
Revisado: 12-07-22
I had a wonderful labor experience in part to this book! It is so educational and truly reframes and educated on what we’ve been taught about birth our whole lives.
I did start the physical book with the stories and didn’t get through it. This time I skipped the stories all together and got to the meat and bones of what I wanted to learn for my own labor.
I was so happy that audible had this book! I was able to get through it my last week of pregnancy as I did some nesting around the house and listened driving around town.

Nice but hard to get over the anti-choice religious undertones.
Revisado: 01-22-21
As a mom, I thought this book was nice on the struggles of being a mom but listening to Chapter 5 was really difficult as a woman that believes in a woman’s right to choose. Specially because it ignores how the mom got pregnant, lack of adequate access to birth control and what could have happened to that baby if the teen mom hadn’t decided to give it up for adoption. Otherwise, nice book.

Quick and helpful audio listen
Revisado: 01-17-21
I kind of wish the voice was a woman otherwise I really enjoyed this! It was really helpful when thinking about relationships in the work place and how to be effective with higher ups. I definitely recommend and will probably listen again!

Beneficial but not what I was expecting
Revisado: 01-17-21
I really enjoyed this book. However, I purchased it thinking it was a professional development book. It actually ended up being more of a self help book but also exactly what I needed. It was really insightful and encouraged self reflection in a way I’d never explored before. I’ll probably listen to this a few more times! I feel like there’s much to be learned!
