Historia
City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind.

Why Molly Quinn?
Revisado: 10-26-18
The female narrator is terrible. If I didn’t love the series so much I would have just stopped listening. They should have just let Ed Westwick narrate the whole thing.

Historia
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I've poured my soul into my music, but I've never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile. And now I'm going back. After 10 years. I hope I can explain that after all this time. I still want her to be my forever girl.

Nothing like the movie
Revisado: 06-12-18
I listened to the book part way through before seeing the movie, so I was able to appreciate each as individual projects. However, if you’re a fan of the movie you should know that other than the basic concept of lovers coming face to face after a decade, and a famous singer returning home to learn he has a child, the two works share little in common. But the book was worth buying on sale.

The narrator’s did a decent job. As a southerner, from GA, I always laugh at non-southern actors who attempt southern accents. The guy narrator sounded a bit like wade from Hart of Dixie and was sexy enough sounding. My main issues with this book were with the writer... apparently she doesn’t know a whole lot about GA and AL, for some of the environmental references she makes are totally off base. But my main issue was the way she handled the most dramatic moment of the book. If you’re gonna kill off the protagonist’s mother... at least have her grieve for that mother before she screws her boyfriend in the back of his jacked up truck. I mean I get he just got shot, and she thought she was gonna lose him too. But it made the book more trashy and less endearing. I would have fallen more in love with the Hero, if Ben had comforted her more, and just held her. The sex scene when the heroine should have been grieving ruined the whole end of the book for me.

Terrible narration
Revisado: 06-02-18
The story was enough to hold my attention, but the narration is terrible. The narrator’s male voices are cringe worthy, and there are absolutely no emotions present in her intonation. Thank God I have the romance package and didn’t pay or use a credit for this one.

Historia
This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?

Fun and sexy
Revisado: 05-07-18
Let’s face it... Sebastian York could read the back of the cereal box and make it sound like the a box full of orgasms. But with that aside, this boom was a lot of fun. I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion. I truly enjoyed listening to Ryder and Nicole’s story. It was so sweet the way he took care of her. Definitely swoon worthy!

If James Bond were an Earl during the Season
Revisado: 05-04-18
I couldn’t stop listening. I was looking for a book to listen to while doing house work. The narrators of every I tried in the romance package were awful. I had remembered enjoying Ms. Hussey’s narration of another book, so I looked up some others that she had narrated. I happened across A Heartless Design. I fell in love with the characters, the intrigue, the plot. I could wait to find out what Cordelia and Sebastian would learn next. So good. Worth the listen. Definitely will be looking for other books from this author.

Lovely little tale
Revisado: 04-06-18
Where does The Beast of Bath rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It was a nice two hour listen. Probably in the top ten recently listened to audio books
Have you listened to any of Lillian Yves’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I’ve never listened to this narrator before. I wish she would have given more pause between sentences. Not the worst performance I’ve ever hear though

Great story, Great Performance
Revisado: 02-21-18
The most important thing about reading a novel is the draw of the author’s writing... the most important thing when listening to an audio book is the narrator’s performance. If the narrator sounds ridiculous or reads so monotonously as to put you to sleep, then it’s a waste. This book is well written and well performed. If you like light hearted chick lit mixed with time travel and a gruff highlander this is a great book for you.
