Historia
It is January 1965 in a world in which the Cuban Missiles Crisis went horribly wrong and the "swinging sixties" never happened. In the United States, a new president has entered the White House; in Britain, the country will shortly be going to the polls for the first time since the October War. But with the return of "normal" politics, there is no return to the "normality" of the old, now-lost world order.

I cannot stand the cadence and tone of this voice actor.
Sorry.
I want to see if it’s just the book or if it’s the actor tbh.

Historia
The Cuban Missiles Crisis didn't end peacefully and the "swinging sixties" didn't happen. On Saturday October 27th, 1962 American and Soviet geopolitical brinkmanship resulted in the most terrible war in human history. The forever changed world that remained when the thermonuclear fires had burned themselves out is the world of Timeline 10/27/62.

I’m waiting for McLeod to use a miss piggy voice.
Cuz the queen sounds a lot like Kermit.

Historia
In Battlefield Ukraine, all the usual suspects are hard at work: battles over resources, money, and miscommunication. This predictive novel explores a potential war between NATO and Russia over the fate of the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine. Lines have been drawn in the sand, but how firm are they? Will the massive disinformation campaign by the Russians trick the new American administration to do their bidding? Will the new American president back down, or will the world creep one step closer toward global war?

Confused?
Revisado: 10-03-24
So this is probably come up already.
But why is the Russian President and his general staff “the good guys”?
I get a soft and regretful feeling in the tone they are written.
And then the Americans are portrayed as unorganized, reactionary and unprepared.
While the Ukrainians are greedy and conniving.
That’s my take away from the feel of the book.
It’s alt-history, I get that. Am I supposed to be a pro Russian reader in this universe?
