Historia
Luke Davenport has been fighting all his life—for respect, for country, and for those unable to fight for themselves. But now that his Horsemen brothers are domesticated, he’s left alone to battle the wildness within. When an opportunity arises to take a job on his own, tracking down a group of rustlers, he jumps at the chance. Damaris Baxter has mastered the art of invisibility. Plain and quiet, she hides in books and needlework, content to be overlooked. Until her brother dies suddenly, leaving her custody of her nephew.

Good story, terrible reader
Revisado: 10-02-24
The reader sounded like she had been sucking helium. It detracted from the storyline. I enjoy Kate Witemeyer, but if I will avoid this reader from now on.

Historia
Kat Wadsworth and Sebastian Jones never imagined their lives would entwine so closely. Forced to flee on a wagon train from a vengeful uncle and an unknown gunman, they live in a hidden canyon with the family that rescued them. But as the days turn into months, they each have separate reasons for wanting to move back to society, and the best way to the independence they desperately crave might be through a marriage of convenience.

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 09-01-24
This particular narrator simply ruined the book for me. I normally enjoy Mary Connealy’s writings and preorder them as soon as I can; however, if this narrator will be involved, I will pass.

Nerve grating
Revisado: 03-15-24
The narrator was horrible. Her reading and voice detected from the story. I found myself contemplating turning it off without finishing.

Lacking in detail
Revisado: 01-25-24
This book left so many questions for the reader. We were introduced to many characters in the previous books, who received no mention in the conclusion. I truly enjoyed the first six books of the series; however, I would not recommend reading the last book if you want to know what happened to all of the characters that you came to care about. Such a disappointing read.

Awful narration
Revisado: 11-30-23
This book was incredibly tedious. I almost stopped listening on more than on occasion. The story line was lacking, and the narrator was horrible. I will not listen to any other book she has read.

Terrible ending
Revisado: 10-27-23
I normally love everything Tracie Peterson writes, but this story was sadly lacking. The ending is awful. Is there a third book?!?! Do we find out what happens?!?!
