could have been better
Revisado: 08-23-24
it was okay to listen to while I'm working. unfortunately I feel it could have been a better story but all and all it was worth the credit used to get the book and worth the listen to pass some time, especially if you are an x-men or spiderman fan. I wish they would read more DC comic omnibuses. but will continue to look and find Interesting stories thru Audible. it's a fantastic app little pricey for $16 a month to only get one book a month that last a week at the most, however the platform is amazing easy to use and I love the fact you can accumulate a digital library of Audiobooks and re listen and revisit some of your favorite stories and lands and let your imagination just take over for a while . I love listening to autobiographies that are read by the actual person the book is about. that's one of my favorite things about Audible!

Historia
Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

Great book. Excellent addon to the Targaryen story
Revisado: 01-12-23
This book did a great job adding to the mythos and dysfunction of the Targaryen lineage. I love the story telling from the different perspectives of the people who were there and seeing their biases based on which house they served. Its just a master class in world building, to go from Game of Thrones series ( Song of Ice and Fire) to a massive prequel while still building on the current timeline all the while turning these masterpieces into live action T.V which have by all means been very well done aside from a few choices I think we would all like to see played out differently. However the show getting ahead of the book and George having to help them come up with an ending which is going to buy different from the way his books will end I assume, and a lot of people just think season 8 creatively dropped the ball. I'm hoping for a much better experience with House of the Dragon seeing as how the story is already written and we know how it ends, of they follow the book and take certain scenarios from the different perspectives told throughout the book the show should be great. As for the book again it is an absolute wonderland of the early days of the Targaryen Dynasty and it is absolutely fascinating and captivating if you really like the world that G.G.R has written up. Can't wait for the next book can't come soon enough. If you enjoy the Game of Thrones Lore you will love this book. Also a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is another story within the world of westeros and also a very enjoyable book.
