Historia
Humpback whales are among the most intelligent animals on Earth. Some scientists believe they might even surpass humans in self-awareness, empathy, and communication skills. In this episode, we swim with a whale as he teams up with other humpbacks to use bubbles to catch fish, rescues a sea lion, and puts his own spin on melodies sung by whales across the Pacific Ocean. This is the world in its natural state, defined by seasons, routines, and cycles. By the time this whale is ready to close one eye and go to sleep, you will be too.

Grand slam home run listen
Revisado: 03-19-25
The documentary story is easy to understand and listen. Topic is different which provides intrigue. Easily worth a re- listen which I did. House in length - perfect for any listen.

Historia
Roger Stringer grew up in rural Mississippi, hunting and eating everything from deer to rabbits. When he had two sons, Zac and Justin, he gave them guns and took them to the woods as well. Then one day when the boys were home alone, he got a call from Zac that Justin had been shot. What follows is an intimate and gripping memoir about the shooting’s aftermath. The story moves between the perspectives of Roger and Zac as they take us through their journey of betrayal, redemption, and ultimately confrontation with a company that had kept its corruption a secret for decades.

Truth of large corporations protecting profits
Revisado: 12-07-23
The story had more benefit to the listener, being that it was told by the people really involved.
It is understandable why the son did not initially tell the truth - as we later learned the prosecutor does not care about the truth only finding people gulity. He won't even provide assistance when it was later revealed the discharge was not the boy's fault.
Let it be a lesson to all there are large faults with the justice system, for much is about personal gain versus fairness.

The selection of words Philippe Besson uses allow you to feel as though the characters are speaking to you, providing you with feedback to their life's adventure with each other.
Surely hope Besson does a sequel.

Historia
It was 1928: a time of illicit booze, of Gatsby and Babe Ruth, of freewheeling fun. The Great War was over, and American optimism was higher than the stock market. What better moment to launch an expedition to Antarctica, the planet's final frontier? The night before the expedition's flagship launched, Billy Gawronski - a skinny, first-generation New York City high schooler desperate to escape a dreary future in the family upholstery business - jumped into the Hudson River and snuck aboard. Could he get away with it?

Story of someone who would have gone unknown
Revisado: 03-03-18
What did you love best about The Stowaway?
It is the true story of an 18 year old who stowaway on Admiral Byrd's first voyage to the arctic. The background second story Is about Byrd. More a promotor than an explorer such as the crew of Endurance.

Incredible story line.
Revisado: 02-16-16
If you could sum up The Life We Bury in three words, what would they be?
Allen Eskens took into account every small detail, as it would happen in real life. That's what kept you inside the story as it unwrapped. From the small details of how a play can cause the main actor to come unwound with his current life.

Great background story, and gay
Revisado: 09-10-15
What did you love best about Ugly?
The background story, the boy's family is in the funeral business. Had me thinking of the HBO show - Six Feet Under while I read it. Unlike so many gay teen/romance books, this book had three main stories taking place at the same time. Which is why it isn't typical.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Julien of course
Which character – as performed by Joe DiNozzi – was your favorite?
Brandon
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Continue to seek. He is there
Any additional comments?
First book I have listen to by Roeder. He has a mixed review (good, bad, middle) on his other books. I would agree with one listener of this book - on the level comparing it to One Man One Guy. The stories are vastly different, yet their many of written narration is the same.

Historia
A breakneck race against time…and an implacable enemy. An anonymous young woman murdered in a run-down hotel, all identifying characteristics dissolved by acid. A father publicly beheaded in the blistering heat of a Saudi Arabian public square. A notorious Syrian biotech expert found eyeless in a Damascus junkyard. Smoldering human remains on a remote mountainside in Afghanistan. A flawless plot to commit an appalling crime against humanity. One path links them all, and only one man can make the journey. Pilgrim.

Would you listen to I Am Pilgrim again? Why?
I am subscribing to all new releases by Terry Hayes. Yes, at 22 hours it is longer than others, but you will be wishing the story continued for another 22. Terry does an incredible writing performance of having the story grow more legs into the twists and turns.

Unveiling of event was well done
Revisado: 10-01-12
If you could sum up No Easy Day in three words, what would they be?
Informative; direct; revealing
What was one of the most memorable moments of No Easy Day?
Personal information of his life from toddler to completion of college.
Have you listened to any of Holter Graham’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
Any additional comments?
The format of the story of UBL assassination was well presented with the first chapter opening the story of the event with their helo riding to UBL; than jumping back to his childhood and taking us forward to the helo riding.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Won't be nice if we could go back in time
Revisado: 06-28-12
Would you consider the audio edition of 11-22-63 to be better than the print version?
I listen to audio books while training for marathon races. I need the story to take me away since miles 2 through 25 become long. But I don't want a technical self help book - too much to think about. Stephen King's books have become a main stay in taking me away while training - I don't even turn him off while cooling down. This book as with "Cell" kept me wanting to train longer - it was that good. You begin wishing you too could find the stairs to the past.
