Historia
A momentous archeological discovery, the greatest of all time - and the immediate effect it has on the varied group of men and women whose lives are intimately touched and altered by it - is at the heart of this exciting novel. In the ruins of the ancient Roman seaport of Ostia Antica, an Italian archeologist has discovered a first-century papyrus, its faded Aramaic text revealing a new gospel written by James, younger brother of Jesus, the original source of the four gospels of the New Testament.

As Fabulous Today as it was 50 years ago!
Revisado: 04-11-22
First off The Word ranks as one of my all-time novels…ever sense I blazed through it the Summer of ‘72.
Do here 50 years later, I decided to re-visit it via Audible. Again, I was enthralled, captivated, and down right amazed how Wallace was about to spin a fantastic tale and take the reader on a journey of biblical history, at the same time.
I also enjoyed The DaVinci Code, however, Wallace’s (some would say, “long winded”) narrative is absolute wherein you know his characters intimately and want to know them.
A magnificent storyteller. This is one novel you don’t want to have NOT read.
This Audible version is ‘spot on’ !
