Historia
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

I hate leaving bad reviews
Revisado: 06-02-24
But it wasn't my cup of tea. Skipped through a lot. Just a lot of filler and repeated story from the first book. Like a lot verbatim repeating.

Historia
Brunhild was a foreign princess, raised to be married off for the sake of alliance-building. Her sister-in-law Fredegund started out as a lowly palace slave. And yet - in sixth-century Merovingian France, where women were excluded from noble succession and royal politics was a blood sport - these two iron-willed strategists reigned over vast realms, changing the face of Europe.

Mystery Amazing! You get used to the chat.
Revisado: 07-23-23
At first yes I did not love the chat room dialog, but I will say after a while I got used to it. I did not love how the narrator didn't pronounce some of the lingo correctly, but I also got used to that too and I just snickered and rolled my eyes until the end of the book. I can see show a hard copy would be helpful, but really if you just put yourself in that mindset you catch on pretty quickly. It's just a shock at first. The mystery part was AMAZING. I had no idea until the very end! I LOVE THAT!! I am completely addicted to this series and no one short of Conan Doyle compares. These are truly works of art!

If you like a challenge this is not for you
Revisado: 07-23-23
I think there are 38 chapters (can't remember because I returned it) in this book. I figured out who done it by chapter 10-ish. If you like mysteries this is NOT for you. I could not imagine sitting through the rest of this book. As soon as I know the answer I'm done. I returned the book. Super disappointed. Robert G. is more my speed. If you're into "her" then just leave this one alone. Not even close to the same level.

Historia
Grand Duchess Olga Romanov comes of age amid a shifting tide for the great dynasties of Europe. But even as unrest simmers in the capital, Olga is content to live within the confines of the sheltered life her parents have built for her and her three sisters: hiding from the world on account of their mother’s ill health, their brother Alexei’s secret affliction, and rising controversy over Father Grigori Rasputin, the priest on whom the tsarina has come to rely.

I had a hard time finishing it. It was dragging on and the ending was pretty lackluster. Not nearly as exciting as the first book in the Jackpot series.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Revisado: 04-19-23
So I'll admit I cried a few times. As a parent you won't be able to help yourself. It got a little slow a few times and it was slightly predictable, but I'm happy I listened. It's a cute, happy read; like an Austen novel. You walk away feeling good with the world.

Historia
Why did Agatha Christie spend her career pretending that she was "just" an ordinary housewife, when clearly she wasn't? Lucy Worsley's biography is not just of a massively, internationally successful writer. It's also the story of a person who, despite the obstacles of class and gender, became an astonishingly successful working woman. With access to rarely seen personal letters and papers, Lucy Worsley's biography is both authoritative and entertaining and makes us realize what an extraordinary pioneer Agatha Christie was—truly a woman who wrote the twentieth century.

Revisado: 01-29-23
Just like everything else Lucy does this was great!! I loved her narration (I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about??), and the story she puts together is great! I'm not even a big Agatha Christie fan and Lucy has now convinced me to try Agatha again! Great audio book. Lucy Worsley has yet to let me down! Catch her on her BBC specials too most of the air on PBS!
