Historia
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika Moon knows she has to hide her magic, keep her head down, and stay away from other witches so their powers don’t mingle and draw attention. And as an orphan who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by strangers, she’s used to being alone and she follows the rules...with one exception: an online account, where she posts videos "pretending" to be a witch. She thinks no one will take it seriously.

Lovely funny story, great narrator
Revisado: 02-02-23
If you're wondering whether you'll enjoy this, the answer is "Yes, probably."
The story is heartfelt, funny, and well-paced. The narrator turns in a masterful performance with just enough accent and vocal shifts to indicate different speakers without being annoying. I rarely listen to a book I haven't read, but this made the cut.

Organizing for the overwhelmed
Revisado: 10-17-22
I'm really enjoying KC Davis' podcast. I see a lot of podcasts started by experts from other platforms that feel like rewarmed tiktok/insta/whatever, but this podcast seems to be offering fresh insight on her core philosophy. Maybe it's because she can have guests here? Whatever the reason, it's a great podcast. I enjoyed this one specifically for discussion of why/when to organize as much as how.

Historia
The historic hotel in Boonsboro has endured war and peace, the changing of hands, and even rumored hauntings. Now it’s getting a major face-lift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect in the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was sixteen.

Great story but this guy cannot do kid voices
Revisado: 10-25-21
I read this book, and I wanted something familiar for a road trip. Overall it's a pretty decent audio book. However, the narrator does all of the children in a sort of whiny scream voice. It makes me wonder if he has ever met a child who wasn't having a tantrum at the time... it's very distracting. However, the rest of the voices are OK
