Through eyes not mine
Revisado: 06-29-24
I will tell a bit of My own story later in this review, but I must start with praise for author Jack Carr, and the amazing character he has. created. in this very upside down world he is created stories about The Good The bad and The ugly, the people who will stand and take anything against any evil, for the good of mankind in this country. I've been captivated and enthralled by each and every book, and I know not his intentions, but this could indeed be the final chapter and be the end of a perfect series. as to the title of my review, some 25 years ago roughly 1999, I lost virtually all this site in my left eye. As a youngest man this was devastating. on July 7th 2019 my vision began failing rapidly in my right eye. within weeks I was reduced to using a cane, believing I would never drive again, and have to have others tell me what food was on my plate. this is when I discovered the terminal list, and the amazing work of both Jack carr, and Ray Porter. I have thoroughly enjoyed all seven additions, and countless other books, did I say countless? by the amazing incredible rape porter. his narration brings so much to the author's work. and during the months when I was truly blind, his voice allowed my eyes to rest as they slowly healed, and I was able over time to regain much of my vision. this series is an absolute Master work, attention to detail, historical fact, the incredibly honest and gritty way that he shares with us the thoughts and the character of each and every individual in this story. if you've not read any of Jack carr, start now, you'll be very very pleased.

Bad, Really bad.
Revisado: 09-25-22
there are so many scientific and biological holes in this story it's not even funny. a T-Rex cannot get its hands anywhere near its header its face. that's just one of the most glaring errors. poorly written, poorly crafted, not a very good performance, a real disappointment.

An intensely emotional and philosophical story.
Revisado: 07-24-22
I've read science fiction for my entire life. I'm 68, and started with a Brave New world by all this huxley. I've read The works of many many authors, going back to the earliest works of Heinlein and others, and on to the brilliant authors of today.
the intense emotional intellectual and philosophical swings of this story are utterly amazing. crafting this work weaving pun intended all the plot components together in the two completely different cultures is breathtaking. I've just finished it, I am exhausted, fulfilled, and thoughtful.

Historia
What happens when something is sucked into a black hole? Does it disappear? Three decades ago, a young physicist named Stephen Hawking claimed that it did - and in doing so, put at risk everything we know about the fundamental laws of the universe. Leonard Susskind and Gerard 't Hooft realized the threat and responded with a counterattack that changed the course of physics.

Black holes or Atheism
Revisado: 02-25-22
I stopped reading this book which I had enjoyed up to that point, right after the author went on this binge of atheism making it clear that anybody with a brain should not believe in god. if you're going to proselytize on atheism instead of sticking to the science of the title, you should warn your readers.

A Brilliant Work
Revisado: 05-14-21
A plot that pulls you and pushes and drags you through all the challenges of life. Light moments, dark ones, and everything in between. Characters with breadth and depth, their wit, their charm, their foibles, their anger, all on full display. At its core, it is a tale of love and life and how the two are and always shall be utterly intertwined.

Historia
Franklin’s Autobiography, one of the most regarded works in early American literature, began as a private collection of anecdotes for his son, but was soon transformed from reflective personal journaling into a work of national history. Filled with the inimitable nuances & wit of the inventor, philosopher, scientist and statesman, this engaging narration of Benjamin Franklin’s classic is as certain to delight modern readers as it did with his original audience.

a must-read for all Americans
Revisado: 03-09-18
listening to this book as I drove across America's Heartland, I was taken aback by the poor nature of our teachings of American history in our schools. Judging by what I've learned here, it was incredibly inadequate when I was a child, now being 64, and having dealt with our current school systems with children's ages 23, 30 and 31, I can only say what they learn now is nearly nothing.
