Biased treatment of Trump
Revisado: 12-02-24
Great Book but the author hates Trump and would have been a good book if he had someone who know Trump rather than another hater.

Long but worth it
Revisado: 03-29-20
This is one of the books that you should set to read at double speed and it works better. With a 26 hour length, is to long to sit thru at regular speed. Interesting perspective and shows that Castro was a dreamer. He had an idea and pushed it for Cuba. Right or wrong, it was his dream and he has an explanation for everything. I don't doubt that the U. S. tried to thwart many of his ideas for Cuba; however, politics is always like that. Internet has made it worse than it was in Castro's day. I enjoyed the read but have to take the view that Castro has his take on the times and there is always another side to every story.

Historia
The struggle between Rome and Carthage in the Punic Wars was arguably the greatest and most desperate conflict of antiquity. The forces involved and the casualties suffered by both sides were far greater than in any wars fought before the modern era, while the eventual outcome had far-reaching consequences for the history of the Western World, namely the ascendancy of Rome. An epic of war and battle, this is also the story of famous generals and leaders: Hannibal, Fabius Maximus, Scipio Africanus, and his grandson Scipio Aemilianus, who would finally bring down the walls of Carthage.

Historia
The Indignities of Being a Woman candidly traces the history of womanhood and investigates how much things have really changed for womankind. By carefully x-raying areas such as body image, marriage, mental illness, fashion, and politics, this audiobook examines what it was like to be a woman in the past versus what it’s like now, when women are constantly told equality between the sexes exists but reality proves otherwise.

Interesting from a Trump Hater
Revisado: 05-02-19
Entertaining but it could have been much better if they did not Hate Trump so much and keep bringing him into the narrative. It is clearly entertaining and I am sure it does reflect the indignities of being a Woman. A reasonable read and I did enjoy it even if they took every opportunity to bash our legally elected President. Sorry they had to bring him in to try and make a point. Would have been even better without showing their politics. Lots of material without that.

James Lee McDonough offers fresh insight into a man tormented by the fear that history would pass him by, who was plagued by personal debts, and who lived much of his life separated from his family.

I was not expecting this to be a great read; however, it is and pointed out many facts I was not aware of dealing with Sherman as a general and President. I highly recommend this book.

Revisado: 08-27-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this audiobook to a friend but not my mother or wife due to language
Any additional comments?
This book is funny; however, his language will offend some so keep that in mind. He has a limited vocabulary and the F word is used at least every 3 minutes in the book. Story is interesting and he presents in a funny way. I really enjoyed the book. Give it a try!!

OK Story but how stupid can you get
Revisado: 03-26-15
If you could sum up The Last King of Scotland in three words, what would they be?
Lots of words but can be stupid
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
If this is truly a true story the guy should have died due to stupidity.
What does Mirron E. Willis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I remember the King but the background is interesting. It is hard to believe that this guy was stupid to the point of being absurd.
Who was the most memorable character of The Last King of Scotland and why?
The king of scotland
Any additional comments?
They could have dropped at least 2 hours of the story and cut to the chase if you were interested.

Outstanding Book and Historical
Revisado: 03-22-14
What made the experience of listening to The Path Between the Seas the most enjoyable?
The history of the Panama Canal is covered in this book and goes into great detail. I have been to the canal several times and had no idea of what went into building it. Gave me a much greater appreciation of the French roll and how the U. S. completed it. A very interesting read.
What about Nelson Runger’s performance did you like?
Nelson was great and easy to listen to. I had to finish this book and spent several long hours listening to his rendition.

Great Story
Revisado: 03-22-14
What did you like best about this story?
Great Story and insight into the life of someone with Autism. You are frustrated with the attorney and mother for they never let the Autistic Boy and his Brother talk to them and that may have been more realistic.
Any additional comments?
I would have liked the ending to be more informative for it progressed to a point and the author seems to have them said "I am tired of writing and just stopped. Not the best ending but story was GREAT!!!
