The author was obsessed with his height. He tells us at least five times how tall he is as if it's something extraordinary or we forgot what we heard previously. The story is entertaining but not compelling enough to want the next installments. The narrator is also entertaining but the accent and voice are not my favorites.

it should have Trump in the title

I heard the author on a podcast and I was enthralled. The only thing this book has beyond what was in the podcast is a borderline obsession with Donald Trump. it's loaded with minutiae about his presidency and all his cronies. I suppose if you cannot get enough Trump, this is a great book for you. For me, I wish I had known before I purchased it that it was less a book about powerful people throughout recent history and more about one powerful person in recent history.

It was impossible for me to finish. Michael Lewis is an extraordinary writer but this felt forced. He could have summed this up in a paragraph and spared all the minutia and repetition.
