Wow. As a history buff and an individual that identifies as queer I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. I have laughed, I've cried, I've been covered in goosebumps. This is all really well done!

A Wonderful Listen!

As a history buff, who happens to be queer, I appreciated the thoughtful & honest approach to the lives of some rather amazing individuals from the annals of written history. There are so many more of these types of individuals who are lost in those same vast records. Whether lost by being purposefully erased, willfully ignored or intentionally mislabeled. So, it is always a true joy (for me) to discover little troves of these delightful & thought provoking treasures. I hope one day, for future generations, there will be a large encyclopedia of these amazing forebears they can turn to & discover they are not alone. Queerness is part of the human experience and has been for a very long time.

I can't wait for the next installment. I swear I could see some of the artwork in my head. So well done. I highly recommend it for Sandman fans everywhere!

Wow (Not in a good way)

If you're looking for a good poly romance story, avoid this book. I made it 2.5 chapters in before I was so unimpressed with the "story" that I turned it off. If you're looking for soft-core porn, this may be the series for you. If you're looking for a good poly story, look elsewhere.

Just awful

I made it to chapter 14 before I quit. I'm sick and tired of whiney, hypocritical female lead characters with a refusal to accept what is going on around them. The leads refusal to stop and ask questions about the supernatural, yet demanding that all supernatural societies should act human is obnoxious & frankly it's overused in the urban fantasy genre.

Obnoxious Heroine

I'm not sure I've ever encountered such a flighty & self-absorbed main character. I couldn't finish the book from being so annoyed by her. She acts like an obtuse spoiled brat with no common sense, like repeatedly demanding respect for herself by acting like a child & whining thoughtlessly to her daddy without the slightest thought for others. The frustration in waiting for her to make a good decision or even take responsibility for her bad ones wasn't worth it.

Tolerable, but...

I had to fast forward through so many of the main characters repetitive & redundant internal rants. I could fast forward through a minute and a half of annoying monologue & not lose anything important to the plot. If you skip the sex & a majority of the monotonous inner rambling from the main character, it's actually a decent story.

I like this series despite the overly aggressive & possessive male characters. I'm always interested in what Mercy will decide to do next.
