Historia
While the major fighting of the war moves to the south in the summer of 1779, a British force of fewer than a thousand Scottish infantry, backed by three sloops-of-war, sails to the desolate and fog-bound coast of New England. Establishing a garrison and naval base at Penobscot Bay, in the eastern province of Massachusetts that would become Maine, the Scots - the only British troops between Canada and New York - harry rebel privateers and give shelter to American loyalists....

Cornwell's worst book
Revisado: 08-25-12
What would have made The Fort better?
An ending.
What does Robin Bowerman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Outstanding reading - really brought many different characters to life.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment - Cornwell is one of the best authors ever, but this is clearly his worst book. A rambling story without an ending. Unlike all his other books.
Any additional comments?
Skip the Fort and listen to the Richard Sharpe series instead.

Historia
Marc Thiessen knows more than almost anyone outside the CIA about what went on at CIA “black sites” and at the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. As chief speechwriter for President Bush, he was given unprecedented access to some of the most sensitive intelligence our government possessed on al Qaeda terrorists. He has since spent countless hours interviewing the men and women involved in the interrogations at every level—from Vice President Dick Cheney to the interrogators themselves.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would highly recommend this book as it tackles a very important yet uncomfortable topic for all of us - torture. Or maybe
What about Bronson Pinchot’s performance did you like?
The reader did a good job, especially emphasizing points as I'm sure the author would have wanted.

Historia
The murder of Abraham Lincoln set off the greatest manhunt in American history, the pursuit and capture of John Wilkes Booth. From April 14 to April 26, 1865, the assassin led Union cavalry and detectives on a wild 12-day chase through the streets of Washington, D.C., across the swamps of Maryland, and into the forests of Virginia, while the nation, still reeling from the just-ended Civil War, watched in horror and sadness.
