Not edited for an Audible experience
Revisado: 07-16-14
There are so many "he said" and "she saids" that the book became annoying after the first few minutes and I never did get through the first chapter.

Scratchy background noises
Revisado: 01-23-14
I kept thinking that it was just my device but it isn't. I even tried restarting my device. No joy. I have never had a Mr. Engene narration have this scratchy background but it is very disconcerting.

Redundant Story Lines
Revisado: 10-01-12
I like the Reacher series. This one was a bit disappointing because of the same story lines and even some of the same language and descriptions of locations, literally word for word.

He was a rising star, with no time to waste, no time to stop. No time for a conscience. But a violent encounter with a homeless man stopped him cold. Michael survived; his assailant did not. Who was this homeless man? Michael did some digging and found a dirty secret, and the secret involved Drake & Sweeney.

Just riveting
Revisado: 01-07-12
As good as it gets - in all cetegories. Kudos to all involved.
If you miss this one, you are missing a great deal than just a book and a few hours of listening. The true plight of so many homeless and the endeavors of a few unsung heros are very accutately portrayed. I usually listen to an Audible or read a book only once. Only rarely does one stand out to the extent that I will give it the time for a second "listen". This is one on my very short list and in a few months will probably give it thrice over.
The best fee I ever got for representing the disadvantaged was a paper bag of homemade fried bread. The best I ever tasted. This was all because of an inoperative heater in an apartment that State law required to be furnished. The story reminded me of how little time there is to do "what's right".

Basically a good read
Revisado: 12-10-11
I always enjoy a good mystery. This was good but it seemed a bit on the . . . .
Well, I am not sexist but I think women would more identify with this novel. It really was enjoyable from a male perspective but I know my wife will enjoy it more.

Narration could be better
Revisado: 11-25-11
Mr Morgan must be a good narrator or he wouldn't have been chosen for what I consider a good read. He comes up very short on this one. It sounds like it is read at the local library.
Apologies to Mr. Morgan but I am just calling it as I see (hear) it.

I wish this could have been longer. Jack weatherford is a great writer and speaker. I hope he writes a book about his years in Mongolia, the trials, tribulations, culture and experiences experienced during his research.

Pay good money for someone to read emails to me?
Revisado: 05-17-11
This is just hour after hour of narrators reading emails received by servicemen, past and present, who support Michael Moores position, which I happen to agree with, but I feel a bit cheated that M.M. did not actually write this book. The servicemen and women did it with very little input from Mr. Moore. The emails are certainly touching but very redundant. This could have been a one hour book and that's stretching it.

Revisado: 05-16-11
I really enjoyed this for about the first 3 hours. Then, it just got a bit boring and I found myself drifting mentally and physically. I did get all the way through it but you really have to like listening to Mr. Moores philosophy to get there in one . . . read?
