Great Conclusion to a Fantastic series

Highly recommend this series but, advise to read the Vampire Towers series prior to starting this one. It’s not imperative however, it helps tie in some aspects. Rare to find a series that ends with everything wrapped up nicely and not feel rushed. I just loved it!

This book sucks you in from the beginning!

I want to start off by saying this book is very intriguing and sucks you in from the first chapter. There are a lot of twists that keeps you captivated and the cliff hanger is so not expected. The narrator did a phenomenal job with both female and male narration and did one of the best jobs I’ve heard in quite some time!

All that being said, this book is not for everyone. *Spoiler on trigger content*

While I have read several dark and bully romances, I was wholly unprepared for an actual rape scene. I believe the warning in the description should clarify that there is an actual rape scene of the main character played out in real time, not just a flashback or hinted around. As this is a trigger for many people including myself, I do not read books with these types of scenes. I truly wanted to love this series but, unfortunately this book is not for me.

If you don’t have issues with these subjects, I do believe you should start this series. Because it is a great story and performance by the narrator!

Loved it!!

I thought this book was a great dystopian vampire romance! Please read the summary and details as this book may not be for everyone. This is a steamy reverse harem so, if you are in to that, this is a great book to jump in to. Looking forward to continuing the story!

A note on the narrators, while they were both great, the male narrator was a bit distracting because he was slower than the female which made switching between the two a bit distracting. Not bad though and it was mainly the female narrator throughout the book.

Loved this book from the beginning

This is my first book I’ve read by Heather Long and I absolutely loved it! I can’t wait to finish this series! The characters were great and the narrators did a fantastic job with this duet narration! So great!

Addictive!

I was hesitant to start this book because it didn’t seem really like my type but, man was I pleasantly surprised to be wrong!! I could not stop listening to it because I was so wrapped up in the story! I loved this series and have already started reading the next book as there is no way I can wait for the audio to be released to know what happens next.

Exceeded my expectations!

Wow, this book was just what I needed. This was recommend to me but, I had been holding off on reading it because the cover mislead me to thinking it wouldn’t be what I wanted. So so so wrong! This is a super interesting series and I immediately knew I was going to end up binging the entire series. I know people are not a fan of the narrator(s) but, I honestly thought they did a good job. There were a few times that I got confused on who was speaking during the male narration but, it wasn’t so bad I couldn’t pick back up quickly. Overall, I love this book and can’t wait to dive into the next!

Didn’t see that coming

I love this series and author! This book did take on a different feel than the first, however, it progressed the book more than it being anything negative.

Themes foreshadowed in the first book were brought to light but, there were several things that completely went different than I was expecting.

I love this duet narration, and the narrators themselves are great.

Overall, I loved this book and can’t wait for the next to be released!

Torn

I’m so torn with this book because it had such promise but, ended up falling flat. There was so much time spent on certain things that didn’t end up really being even a part of the story. I’m content with the ending that I don’t even feel the need to continue to read.

Not sure why the reviews are so good

Really disappointed in this book. It had such potential but, fell flat. There were parts that I found really intriguing but, it was still a struggle to get through. I stopped listening after another not-so-shocking surprise.

I kept waiting for this big twist or something to prove what was plainly obvious wasn’t really what the reader expected. After reading some other reviews and “spoilers”, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything by not finishing this.
