Historia
The Sick Boys feed on the order they create. They rule Eastpoint University just as their families have for decades. But their power doesn't stop there. The three of them are heirs to some of the largest fortunes in the world, and behind that kind of wealth lies an underworld of corruption. On the surface, they're perfect princes and he is their king. But underneath it all, they're filled with blood, lies, and secrets. With all of their connections, they have the power to crush anyone who gets in their way.

Batman adopts a rescue…
Revisado: 03-29-24
it’s hard to adopt a rescue dog thats been abused and starved. They lash out at everyone and trust no one. The FMC, sure she’s tough- but ultimately you feel sorry for her. She walks around in her second hand dingy sports bra, and you can’t help but to cheer her on. Her classmates warn her about the bad boys at school. Ya gotta take their word for it because they do nothing to illustrate their bad assness. Always eager to prove she’s no man’s b!tch- she becomes an easy target. The author did a good job in wrapping things up at the end- I am grateful she lacked the detail nightmares are made of and set things up for book 2. You really have to change your view of what “winning” is, not sure if I’ll proceed to the next book.

It was okay…
Revisado: 12-03-23
I have a dark sense of humor and this could have been so much more. The warning at the beginning was just hype. The narration helped me get through the disappointments. Here are two characters, here are a couple of kooky flashbacks with a brief summary of who they actually are. There are some things I like about the book, but not enough to purchase the next book.

Hard to listen to the male narration
Revisado: 08-31-23
I returned this audible because I couldn't get past the male narrator. IDK I felt like it was a cowboy not even trying to get into character. Please let Lilly Drake do the narration alone on the next book.

Historia
Persephone is the Goddess of Spring by title only. The truth is, since she was a little girl, flowers have shriveled at her touch. After moving to New Athens, she hopes to lead an unassuming life disguised as a mortal journalist. Hades, God of the Dead, has built a gambling empire in the mortal world and his favorite bets are rumored to be impossible. After a chance encounter with Hades, Persephone finds herself in a contract with the God of the Dead and the terms are impossible: Persephone must create life in the Underworld or lose her freedom forever.

I liked where the author was going but...
Revisado: 12-08-22
I know Persephone is trying to find herself, but I often wondered why Hades puts up with her crap. I saw her as entitled- no one can tell me anything, I can do what I want - rebel without a clue type. Feisty isn't always cute. I didn't find out she's a good person, or kind hearted till her friend mentions it. When she comes across a thirsty man in chains, lol skip to her head under water-this is where I caught up to the author- innocent translates to stupid. I liked the story...maybe a 2nd read through might be more pleasant because then I'll know not to expect too much from the main character.

Historia
I was so close to getting everything I wanted - an internship with my uncle, an officer with the special-ops team. If it weren't for a stupid boy that had to go and make me angry, causing me to turn a certain part of his anatomy purple and sparkly, I wouldn't have accidentally revealed to my family what I really was. What I had been hiding.

Great story line
Revisado: 03-23-22
Just let all the guys talk and it would clear up so much instead of trying to make her appear innocent all the time- this took up value space in this book. Besides that, I would like more detail about the men. Fade her to the background, she seems like everything she fears- but she's got herself a pretty interesting group of men. I don't dislike the female lead, but she is supposed to be intelligent- I'm sure she would have done all this research on HERSELF, instead of fainting and freaking out when she finds out something new. I'm glad the author didn't go over the top and try to make the character seem "cool" by making her cuss a lot or be wit whiney. Her relationship with her dad and brother made the character likable. Making her a cheerleader was cheesy. I liked the flow of the book and will definitely read book 2.
