It took only a few seconds for the drunk to enter the same intersection, running the red light in the process. Ed would live but would never walk again. The information in this book will teach you to avoid such distractions. Cool little book with a good safety scanning idea.

I loved the gruff narration! it was straight forward and to the point. While this book is very brief and left me wanting more (maybe some recommendations for what to do in the most common types of potential accident situations). It does get across a very useful system for scanning for and dealing with threats while driving a motorcycle. The author didn't come up with the system but I will say he has successfully ported it over to the world of motorcycling.

I expected and accepted that this would be a nitch book about a very specific type of motorcycling. Even in this nitch i found that it rarely went above common sense advice. I'm loosely paraphrasing but "Go slower, don't ride in super heavy rain, don't take corners too fast." is the kind of advice offered. I'm not even a motorcycle rider yet and feel this was below my experience level. I wanted to like this book but feel it's not worth paying for. Unfortunately if it had been a blog or something I wouldn't have made it more than a handful of paragraphs I don't think. Sorry Kit!
