Historia
Not long ago, Seiji was an ill-tempered, misanthropic man at war with the world. But then he was transported to a strange, savage realm for the purpose of literally making war on the world. In this reality, he's an extremely reluctant evil overlord with a temperamental goddess patron to please.

a solid addition
Revisado: 08-24-24
A fine addition to the series that leans into being a bit more of a political drama, regrettably our dark lord is not feeling up for a musical performance, wich makes me a little sad, but instead we get some hearth acke, the chapter titles love to miss direct speculation, and due to how cruel the world can be it can really stress out those utterly immersed.

Historia
On a typical day, on an average train platform, two warring sister goddesses found their avatars. One avatar, the young Yoshi, was swept away to the world of Ephemera to be a great hero of honor, courage, and light. The other, the not-so-young Seiji, was swept away to become a dark lord out to kill or conquer all in his path. But Seiji is in absolutely no mood for that nonsense. It's bad enough that on Earth he was a closed-off, misanthropic grouch with zero patience for other people. Now he's supposed to muster enough of a give-a-damn to lead vile hordes?

A Snarky, Cynical Fantasy take on the formula
Revisado: 08-23-24
it can take a little while to trust the narrator as he likes stepping just little bit out convention specially whit the grim dark tone of the fantasy, but he is worth trusting, Our protagonist has a personality, he is not the perfect self insert, but he is a little too smart, he is the dark lord only in the sense that he is to be the ruin of the stablish social order and as expected of any grim dark world (wich is honestly very accurate to medical society) in wich the mounstrous people rules and hurt those beneath them. now our protagonist is half japanese and raised in Japan, he is going to say japanese words every now and then much like any other bilingual speaker is likely to do. this makes the writer a weeb according to some reviews. also the grim dark society has a racial cast system, and the protagonist uses the system as a guide to understand where people stand in the given society, he will also describe people and make comparative assessments to ethnic groups to paint a picture for the reader. according to some reviews this some how make him a racist. I think that those reviewers can kick rocks.

Historia
When quiet Orrin and his extroverted best friend, Daniel, were transported to a strange RPG-based world, not much changed between them. Daniel became a hero of legend, while Orrin remained his unobtrusive shadow. Only when they faced a particularly lethal foe did Orrin step out of his comfort zone and display his true worth—with powers he didn't know he had. Of course, Daniel got all the glory, but Orrin doesn't mind. He's just happy they're both still alive.

fantastic work once more
Revisado: 08-17-24
Sour patch hero knocks another one out of the park, a lean mean literary machine, zero fat whit fantastic protagonist, character progression that is so refreshing to see, I have begun to see other series as lesser, honestly this is now my top litrpg.

Painfully Vanilla
Revisado: 08-04-24
This is the most vanilla and tame audio book I've ever read, it's has 0 personality the characters are as deep as glass of water, and the dialog is middle of the road dribble, I wanted to like this book but it feels like it's written for young children un 14years old

Historia
Anyone can tell that continuing the war is ludicrous. The question now is not whether to, but how to end the war. Colonel Lergen has been working on brokering a truce in Ildoa for some time now, yet peace seems farther than ever. Bringing the war to a close in a way that everyone can stomach may be harder than surviving on the eastern front. In the meantime, people like General Rudersdorf and General Zettour are beginning to move in the shadows. If a resolution isn’t reached soon, things are only going to get even more dangerous...

another fantastic entry
Revisado: 07-21-24
we are In the end game now, if you enjoyed previous entries this won't disappoint, but one issue is at hand, one of personal preference, and that is character development, and outside of the salamander group, tanya not included, characters do not change.

Historia
When it comes to action and adventure, every hero needs a good sidekick. Holmes has Watson, Batman has Robin, and Daniel has . . . Orrin. More like brothers than friends, they always have each other's backs. And as Daniel is the big, strong, handsome type, Orrin is more than happy to remain in his shadow at school, at parties, pretty much everywhere. Then things take a turn for the truly weird when a terrible accident catapults the pair into a world totally unlike their own, in which the rules of a role-playing game hold sway.

A fantastic new series to be obsed over
Revisado: 07-18-24
this is the most refreshing litrpg I've listen too in a long time. easily shooting into my top 3, this first book especially has little to no fat, it has story to tell and tell it, it does. the characters are wonderfully human, the action is slick and easy to follow, it dosent get much better than this.

Historia
Time is not on the Empire’s side. It has become painfully clear that simply winning battles will not be enough to turn the tide of this war. Having no interest in sharing the fate of her country, Tanya immediately decides to do the only thing that makes sense—look for a new job! Of course, she’ll have to proceed with extreme caution, because her current employer isn’t some random company but the Imperial Army. As it happens, she isn’t the only one ready to do something drastic when push comes to shove.

a fantastic, wacky, creative and delightful post apocalyptic trill ride.
Revisado: 01-13-24
the story can end here and I would be perfectly satisfied, these books have no fat no filer only a lean mean story. and the performance?! are you freaking kidding me the buttery tones of wil will melt you while his dynamic and heavely expressive narration will sink you into every detail. I don't like the idea of giving 5 stars unless it's the best I've ever had. and or if it exposes the sinister evil of the marketing world.

Oh did you think you were getting a classic fantasy story surprise it a cultivation one
Revisado: 08-15-23
If there is one thing I can’t stand is the trend of Korean and Chinese stories about how someone becomes over powered by using the mystical art of cultivation and all they had to do was sit on the floor meditate and all their problems go away they are the best, that and the whole chosen one thing is done to death, but they only pull the cultivation crap on the last 3 hours, before that I was hooked so it’s not for me but it may be for you. the performance is excellent as always.

The world teeters on the brink of destruction. The people who should be saving the Earth ignore Jason Asano's warnings and choose to loot the house as it burns down around them. He lacks the strength to save the world himself, but resolves to do it anyway, impossible be damned. The impossible, in this case, means seizing a power that no mortal should touch. It's a choice from which there is no turning back, and marks Jason's first step into a wider cosmos that he is not yet ready to face. Holding the fate of two worlds in his hands, Jason must decide for himself what home truly means.

the last 2 hours made up for it.
Revisado: 07-05-22
look this book has issues what you are going to get from it is two long battles and little story however the last two hours is nothing but pure story and lovely characters, those last two hours are the reason I adore these books. when I re listen to the whole series for the 4th time I'm just going to skip 70% of this book
