Historia
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.

Great Listen
Revisado: 01-24-23
Excellent narration with authentic Southern accents. As always, Mr. Grisham - a thoroughly engrossing story with a flare for iconic landmarks and detail that puts the reader or listener right into the story.

An EXCELLENT Listen!
Revisado: 01-18-23
James Patterson and Mike Lupica make a dynamite duo. You feel Lupica's presence in the many football references- his knowledge of the game is quite amazing. I've been a fan for decades. What you do not feel is Lupica's voice. Nor should you. Neither should the reader or listener as it would make for a disjointed, discombobulated experience.
I would have preferred to give 4.5 starts, but didn't have that option. My only quarrel with "House of Wolves" was the number of times I could complete a sentemce or scene beforehand, which broke the spell cast by Ellen Archer's terrific narration. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. Well...except that, and the ending; which I will not reference other than to say I expected it, yet hoped for different.

Pleasant surprise
Revisado: 08-05-22
Long time Stephen King fan. Might be an understatement. I read Carrie in 7th grade as soon as it came out in paperback. Yes, the early 70’s. Moved away from his books during a self-help stage when his tales had gotten a bit stale. I loved this book. A lot. Thank you, SK. You engaged, engrossed, and even entertained me with this story..
