I receive this as and advance listener for my honest review .

Magick Rising by Ligia N. Cushman

Magick Rising had the potential to be a captivating fantasy read, offering an intriguing premise that could have drawn readers into a world of magic and mystery. The foundation of the story was promising, and I appreciated the effort put into crafting a unique narrative.

However, this book missed the mark for me. One of the biggest challenges was the repetition of information, sometimes within the same chapter, which disrupted the flow of the story. Additionally, there were multiple contradictions that made it difficult to fully immerse myself in the plot. A key example is the description of the main character, Lola, which changed between the first and second introductions, creating confusion. Some plot points also lacked clarity—such as Lola somehow knowing she had lost her memory for exactly three years—leaving too many unanswered questions. These inconsistencies made it hard to connect with the characters and the world they inhabited.

The friendship between Lola and Thad played a significant role in the story, but I felt it could have been explored in greater detail to enhance the emotional depth of their bond. Additionally, while there were a few spicy scenes, the wording at times felt unrealistic, making it difficult to fully engage with those moments. The timeline of the story was another point of confusion—it seemed to span only a few days, yet the author may have intended for it to cover a longer period. Unfortunately, that didn't come across clearly to me.

That said, I recognize the passion and creativity that went into writing this book. The concept had great potential, and with further refinement, it could become a compelling fantasy story. I appreciate the author's imagination and dedication, and I look forward to seeing how her storytelling evolves in future works. Overall, I give this book two stars, as it ultimately missed the mark for me.

Bride by Ali Hazelwood is an absolute gem of a story that captivated me from start to finish. From the very first page, I found myself drawn into the world of Misery and Lowe, and I couldn't put it down until I reached the satisfying conclusion.

This was an awesome story, full of heart, humor, and unexpected twists. One of the highlights for me was Misery's dry humor, which added such a unique flavor to the narrative. Her wit and sarcasm brought a smile to my face even in the midst of tense moments.

What really stood out to me was the seamless blend of humor and depth in the storytelling. The ending revelation about what the "knot" symbolized was a stroke of brilliance, perfectly tying together the thematic threads of the story while also delivering a satisfying payoff. It had me chuckling and nodding along in appreciation of the cleverness behind it.

I also loved the structure of the book, particularly how Lowe's thoughts were presented at the beginning of each chapter. This added a layer of complexity to his character and provided valuable insights into his inner workings. It gave the chapters a deeper resonance and made me feel even more connected to the characters.

Overall, Bride was an easy read in the sense that I was so engrossed in the story that time seemed to fly by. Yet, it was also a deeply rewarding read, offering moments of laughter, introspection, and sheer delight. Ali Hazelwood has crafted a truly memorable tale, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for readers next.

"The Resurrection of Wildflowers" by Micalea Smeltzer is a poignant second chance love story that beautifully continues the journey of the characters from "The Confidence of Wildflowers." Seamlessly picking up where its predecessor left off, this novel delves deeper into the complexities of love, loss, and redemption.

Fans of the first book will find themselves drawn back into the lives of these familiar characters, as Smeltzer expertly weaves together their past and present, crafting a narrative that feels like an extended epilogue to their story. The emotional depth and raw honesty with which the author portrays their struggles and triumphs make for a truly engaging read.

While the conclusion of this book offers a satisfying resolution to the characters' arcs, some readers may find themselves hesitant to continue to the third installment. Despite the allure of revisiting these beloved characters, the decision to focus on the same protagonists and introduce additional drama may not appeal to everyone.

For those who feel content with where the story concludes, "The Resurrection of Wildflowers" serves as a fitting ending point, earning it a solid rating of 3.5 stars. While the desire for a different direction in the series may linger, there's no denying the beauty and poignancy of this second installment in the Wildflowers series.

"Rhapsodic" by Laura Thalassa left me underwhelmed and ultimately disappointed. Despite its promise, the narrative felt cluttered with too many plotlines that didn't seem to coalesce into a satisfying whole. While billed as a slow burn, the pacing felt uneven, rushing through moments that deserved more exploration while dragging on in others. The inclusion of seemingly irrelevant details, such as the Bargainer's past involvement in a gang, only served to distract rather than enrich the story. The constant back-and-forth between past and present added little depth, leaving me yearning for a more coherent storytelling approach. Sadly, this book marks the end of my journey with the series, as it failed to capture my interest or investment in its world and characters. Overall, "Rhapsodic" earns just two stars from me.

Based on the synopsis, I was very excited to read this book. Unfortunately there a lot being said and nothing at all at the same time. Will not read the rest of the series.

I must admit, I did not think I would finish this book. I was prepared to DNF it but per the reviews, I kept going AND I AM GLAD I DID! The first quarter of this book is slow, very wordy, and in my opinion not needed. However, once she entered the fae realm shit hit the fan and I enjoyed every single moment of it. spice is toward the end of the book and I still very much enjoyed it. Do you see how many times I stated I enjoyed it? It is a must-read. I only gave the book four stars because of the first quarter.

This book focuses on Callie the main female character, She is boring and unassuming, She stumbles into the fae realm When searching for "destroying angel mushrooms" and shit gets good. The fae Prince falls for her and hits the entire book she is not what she seems and the the end of the book confirms that for us, I did not see it coming. She got me good. The next book releases in May 2024 already preordered my copy.

The book did not come to a head until the last quarter of the book. And all happened right after the other.
