This is not insider journalism re the Trump White House. This is a Trump praise piece whose arrows are aimed at a couple senior staff members who gave this guy his walking papers. If the author is to be believed he was present and in some cases instrumental in many of the major developments in the first couple of years of the Trump administration The sanctimonious self righteousness make the final pages almost unbearable.

I have been trying to make my way through this book now for several weeks, but the faux-hillbilly affectations of Christian Baskous have made some great fiction tortuous. Mr. Baskous is a fine narrator and does a bang up job on other works, which makes me wonder what the producers were thinking when they steered him in this direction. Five hours to go ...
