So good but too short!

Ah I love Sloan's character. Poor guy has to deal with wrangling the monkeys 24/7 that it was so nice to have him find his own slice of happiness even if he didn't think he wanted it. I loved this story, probably one of my favorites this far I just wish it was longer, just under 6 hours is too short . Definitely worth a credit!

Other PRN books I think are fantastic are anything by Jeaniene Frost (especially the Night Huntress/Prince/Rebel series), Heather Hunter's Irin Chronicles (really beautifully written and narrated), Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardian Series, Jacqueline Frank's Nightwalker Series, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series (series turns amazing at book 3, get past the bad narration of the first two books, trust me!), Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter Series, J. D. Tyler's Alpha Pack Series and Tessa Dawn's Blood Curse series (very dark take on vampires). Patricia Brigg's Alpha and Omega series is really good too, thou more just paranormal than a PRN, romance is subtle but totally worth a listen unless you require steam. Most of these are available in the Escape Package which is a bonus if you like to binge.

Not that bad, but that good either.

Just like the title says this book was ok. The story could use some work but there was at least a plot. The romance was obviously rushed....I love you came out of nowhere. I don't mind the insta-attraction stories but there was something missing from this one. Sex scenes weren't terrible, but a little awkward...who needs to yell multiple times they are cumming? Just saying. The main character was also super annoying. I'm all for a strong woman...but the whole I can take care of myself I need help from no one got old really fast. Especially when she was just being stubborn to be stubborn which put herself in danger, often.

Narrator did an excellent job with the male voices but struggles with the female. Way to breathy.


I did listen to the next one to see if things improved and it stays about the same, just ok. Worth a credit....eh...not really. Worth a listen in the escape package, maybe. I don't think I'm going to continue with the series thou, narration kind of kills it for me.

PRN books are my favorite. I love alpha males with a dark side but there were so many things wrong with this book it was hard to finish. The entire time I felt like I was missing a piece of the story. The author says she writes fast pace edge of your seat books....but I was bored for 95% of it. Almost nothing happened until the last few chapters. It felt disjointed and hard to follow and I felt zero chemistry between Lena and Lucien until the last two hours of the book. Probably not helped by Eva Amars narration style. She has a nice voice but read extremely monotone, pausing midsentence constantly. There was almost no change in her voice for the characters making it hard to know who was speaking or keeping track of all the players. It might have faired better if Aiden Snow narrated the whole book. I like the idea of a non-traditional PRN but this was not it. Book also ended on a cliffhanger which is a bummer since I really cant see myself listening to the next one.

This is 50 shades but more cruel and violent. Nothing wrong if BDSM is your thing, but doesn't really do much for me so the sex scenes left more than a little to be desired. It fits Luciens character thou. He cares, but doesn't show it in the traditional sense.

Overall poor narration, confusing story and zero romance killed this book for me.

Another great book in the series but sooooo short. It's worth a credit not to miss any progression of the story but at the same time not since it's under 5 hours.

I'm starting to really enjoy this series and feel it's definitely improved in plot and story from the first book. Not my favorite series but I find I'm invested in the characters and care what happens to them. I will definitely keep listening and can't wait for Slade and Jill to just get it on already! lol

This series is growing on me. I still feel like they are lighter on content (there is an underlying plot but minimal serious danger to any main players) compaired to some of my favorites but they are worth a listen for me. I like this one better than the first and probably better then the last.

These seem to get better as the series continues.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I think I've enjoyed the series a little more with each one. There is an underlying plot that continues onto the next with one main love story woven in. It's not deep or overly complex but is a decent listen with a pretty good narrator. Some of my favorites are below but I think this series so far is worth a credit.

I have nooooo idea how this is so highly rated. I'm a couple hours in and for some reason the author thinks a woman touching a drugged naked man who had just been tortured and almost raped is erotic.....or when said man kidnaps her for his revenge of stripping her naked and doing the same back (and she's ok with it, understands his need to humiliate her) is a turn on....I'm just baffled. I've listened to other PRN's with hard to get through rape and torture (Acheron) but not for the sake of being "sexy". Just no.

If you came here looking for a PRN, this is not for you. This is some weird rapey erotic novel with a mediocre narrator. If that's you thing, enjoy. I'll be returning this one before I even finish it.

Better than expected.

I've been on the hunt for a new PRN series and a lot of what I've found has fallen flat to some of my favorites below. This book wasnt mind blowing amazing but it had an okay plot and some steamy scenes. The narrator did a decent job. I will say the book ended somewhat sudden.... not necessarily a cliff hanger, but felt cut short leaving some details missing. I think I will check out the next in the series and see if it pulls me in more or another series grabs my attention.

I'm currently looking for another PRN series to binge and came across this in my searches. Overall the three stories were ok but not amazing. For one credit it was worth a listen.

The stories individually had an underlying plot with a steamy romance as the focus. While there was a plot, it was still light on content, especially in the first two books. Not a lot of world building or intrigue. The third story was my favorite since I was a little more invested in the plot line. I really wish Barret had his own story, curious about his past.

Steamy scenes were pretty good, not as well as some of my favorite authors but they did the job. There were quite a few f-bombs so if swearing is an issue for you be warned.

The narrator did a good job, didn't make the women sound like bratty teenagers but did lack strong emotion at times. I would listen to another book performed by him.

I think there are much better PRN's out there with a good balance story and steamy romance, some are below. If you've exhausted most this was worth it since it was three books for one....however, if I had to buy each individually I would likely pass.
