Historia
An Atlanta ex-cop comes to Lake Sackett, Georgia, seeking peace and quiet - but he hasn’t bargained on falling for Frankie, the cutest coroner he’s ever met. Frankie McCready talks to dead people. Not like a ghost whisperer or anything - but it seems rude to embalm them and not say hello. Fortunately, at the McCready Family Funeral Home & Bait Shop, Frankie’s eccentricities fit right in. Lake Sackett’s embalmer and county coroner, Frankie’s goth styling and passion for nerd culture mean she’s not your typical Southern girl, but the McCreadys are hardly your typical Southern family.

The perfect book when you want to relax. Doesn't tax your brain cells but it isn't mind numbing either.

Historia
When Queenie Hennessy discovers that Harold Fry is walking the length of England to save her, and all she has to do is wait, she is shocked. Her note had explained she was dying. How can she wait? A new volunteer at the hospice suggests that Queenie should write again; only this time she must tell Harold everything. In confessing to secrets she has hidden for 20 years, she will find atonement for the past. As the volunteer points out, ‘Even though you’ve done your travelling, you’re starting a new journey, too.’

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

A refreshing no- bullshit take on living life.

There's no fluff and beating around the bush with this book. The author tells it like it is and I think it's exactly what we need. Would def recommend.

Historia
The Mulvaneys of High Point Farm in Mt. Ephraim, New York, are a large and fortunate clan, blessed with good looks, abundant charisma, and boundless promise. But over the 25-year span of this ambitious novel, the Mulvaneys will slide, almost imperceptibly at first, from the pinnacle of happiness, transformed by the vagaries of fate into a scattered collection of lost and lonely souls. It is the youngest son, Judd, now an adult, who attempts to piece together the fragments of the Mulvaneys' former glory, seeking to uncover and understand the secret violation that occasioned the family's tragic downfall.

Tragic, lengthy, but a worthy story
Revisado: 09-04-17
A well written, if lengthy, story of a family meandering through tragedy. Enjoyable, but you've got to commit to it for the long haul.

There's no way I'll fall for Wyatt Hennington. He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I'm not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.

It's been a long time since a romance novel moved me to tears. This one did it. The story is simple but heartwarming. The narratives are well done. A light and very enjoyable read.

Historia
Astronomer and TV science guy Gevin Rees just landed the interview of a lifetime with the world's most famous physicist. Remarkable, because the eccentric genius is notoriously reclusive, and he's already dead. What happens next forces Rees to run for his life from not one but two deadly assassins and global powers desperate to bury what he's just uncovered. Mind-blowing technology and solid evidence that would rewrite religious history and challenge the faith of billions.

Guilty pleasure
Revisado: 11-22-16
If I take this book as a pure work of fiction, it's a great read. The plot and twists and turns keep you on the edge. As a practicing muslim however, the line the story takes is... blasphemous. I imagine any practicing Christian or Jew may feel the same reading the book. So to enjoy it, you need to separate your religious persona, otherwise you might just want to burn it. Like I said, take it as a pure work of fiction and it's a good read.

Historia
The first in a sexy new series by Katy Evans, New York Times best-selling author of the REAL series... This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name, though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Disappointing
Revisado: 08-24-16
This book starts off extremely slow and, I have to say, boring. Many times I rolled my eyes at Rachel's thoughts/ reactions. She's a bit too immature for my taste. The story itself reminds me of 50 Shades in many ways. The second half picks up but by then you're so exasperated by the first half its almost beyond salvaging. Sorry but I won't be getting part 2 of this book, as much of a cliffhanger the ending was...
