Historia
It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

a powerful story with a lot of death. I enjoyed the subtle insights into the periphery characters who make up the homicide bullpen.

Historia
Football star and Internet sensation Gavin "Anaconda" Adams is the biggest celebrity our little town has ever seen. But I had no idea who he was when I accidentally walked in on him naked. I was shocked, seeing all of him, a cocky grin on his face. I didn't know what to do. So I ran. No matter what I do, I can't get that image out of my head. To make matters worse, Gavin wants a date with me.

very OTT and good for an afternoon distraction. I liked how the acting was a flop, but wish the characters watched and reviewed the film at the end to tie it in.

mostly good

I liked the hospital setting and the characters, but the heroine was a little too annoying. not to say there aren't girls who think like her, just a little too on again off again for no real reason for my liking. but I hate runners who don't demand explanations up front, so that's my biggest annoyance.

I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

I really really enjoyed the unique storyline. I felt the main characters showed a little more depth than I expected from a pop romance.

It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God? Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.

I liked it.
Revisado: 12-28-18
I love the banter between the main characters & the conclusion is sweet. the twist, whilst not original in any way (let's face it, not many romance novels are), was so refreshing to read. whenever I wanted to kick the girl for her insecurity, I was pleasantly surprised by the male character.
I was thrown by the grandmother who didn't seem to feature after the first half of the book though. it's like she was vitally important, then just an after thought.
in fact, most of the peripheral characters were a little too obvious as plot devices and less like real people.
I would still mark it as a good read.
voice overs are good...until the atrocious Aussie accent 😂😂😂.
it's not hard to sound like an Australian. just swallow five Xanax and try to sound British. that's all the accent is after all, a British accent after 200+ years of chilling out on a beach and avoiding real work. 😆😆😆

Historia
The death of history teacher Craig Foster devastated his young wife, who'd sent him off to work that morning with a lovingly packed lunch. It shocked his colleagues at the Upper West Side private school. And as for the 10-year-old girls who found him in his classroom in a pool of bodily fluids, they may have been traumatized for life. Lieutenant Eve Dallas, of course, is more hardened to murder cases. And this is clearly a murder case.

Eve faces off against an old flame of Rourke's. Plus, I can't believe how much sympathy I felt for the first victim's wife, especially since she's fictional!!!

Historia
On a chilly February night, during a screening of Psycho in midtown, someone sunk an ice pick into the back of Chanel Rylan's neck, then disappeared quietly into the crowds of drunks and tourists in Times Square. To Chanel's best friend, who had just slipped out of the theater for a moment to take a call, it felt as unreal as the ancient black-and-white movie up on the screen. But Chanel's blood ran red, and her death was anything but fictional.

Revisado: 02-01-18
I love this series and re read/listen to some of the books regularly. this book is definitely on my revisit list. I found more humor in this story, and I liked imagining Nora using her own experiences as a published author to give insight into the characters.
I totally sympathise with the Delaney character in the book. not everyone can expect to think up an idea and write a publishable book, and kudos goes to those people who achieve such great things.
The irony of a deranged fan accusing an author of plagiarism, and then actively pursuing plagiarism of a more sinister kind was a great plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
I also really enjoyed the increasing number of main and peripheral characters used in this series. I dread the day when one of them is written out as victim, but alas, it is the way of murder/crime fiction.
overall: great book. good plot, excellent character development.

Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet for men who don't deserve her. A week's vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.

very light hearted romance with hot sex scenes. I liked that the story drama felt plausible...with the exception of the initial 'serial playboy turned monogamist Prince charming' - which seems to be standard fare in these types of romance books.
