Historia
MEM is a rare novel, a small book carrying very big ideas, the kind of story that stays with you long after you've finished listening to it. Set in the glittering art deco world of a century ago, MEM makes one slight alteration to history: a scientist in Montreal discovers a method allowing people to have their memories extracted from their minds, whole and complete.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 11-28-20
A slower, almost peaceful reading--I like slow, but I felt the character deserved a wider range of emotions. Still, this is the best "clone" type story I've read and liked the twist of why there are clones of people. The ending was fulfilling without feeling too perfect.

Historia
Jack Gee, hiking the New Zealand mountains, is blissfully unaware of the Hemorrhage virus sweeping the world. A desperate message from his wife, Dee, alerts him, and he must return to Hamilton. On the way, he is captured by flesh-eating Variants and taken to their meat locker. To escape, he will need to draw on all his experience as an outdoorsman, but first, he must find the will to survive. Surrounded by Variants, Dee is trapped in her Hamilton basement with a group of survivors. With Jack missing, and dwindling food supplies, she must leave the basement, her only defense a katana.

New to Genre

Decided to listen after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed. I usually go for autobiographical or historical but needed something lighter and more fun in these stressful times. I was interested the whole time but not invested enough to check out the whole series. It stands alone well.
