Historia
Samantha is a professional seductress and con artist with a heart of gold. If she talked about her work, she’d tell you she only pilfers organs for medical research and that she only takes one kidney, and she only steals those kidneys from dishonest people. It’s hell on her social life. Abe is the doctor and Sam's partner in crime. He isn’t much of a criminal. Except for the kidney stealing. But he’s using that money to fund his research that he anticipates will be able to cure diabetes. So, all for a good cause...? You decide. Of course, it's hell on his social life.

I loved the fully immersable audio
Revisado: 04-10-20
I loved the fully immersable audio, it was like actually being there. Even though there were dark parts, the humor kept it light.

But sometimes plans go awry in the worst way. Sometimes the only plan is to believe it will be all right, even when it's almost impossible to believe.

Not interested in a bunch of cussing
Revisado: 02-17-20
No matter how much this book says cussing helps, it detracts from the story and makes it not worth listening to.

Eve looks like an ordinary 12-year-old girl, but there’s nothing ordinary about her. She has no last name. No parents or guardian. She’s on the run from a dangerous and secretive organization that will stop at nothing to track her down. And most astonishing of all: she’s a robot, a product of Eden Laboratories. When Eve discovers the truth, she realizes everything she thought she knew about herself is a lie. Eve manages to escape, fleeing the lab, the only home she’s ever known.

great examples on how to relate to world views
Revisado: 02-07-20
it wasn't until chapter 12 that I actually got some really good examples how to respond however following up to chapter 12 was important because it gave a firm foundation of what and why we believe what we do.

Historia
On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

very good insight on how a Muslim looks at Christ
Revisado: 07-02-18
this was a very good deep dive into the differences between Christianity and Muslim and what a Muslim thinks about when you say Christ and the difference is between the Christian God and the Muslim God. this is a very good book and very useful information.

Not exactly the same as the book ...
Revisado: 03-19-18
Where does More Than a Carpenter Today rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
short, concise, but informative.
What other book might you compare More Than a Carpenter Today to and why?
Other Apologetic books
Which character – as performed by Josh McDowell – was your favorite?
N/A
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No but it was all informative
Any additional comments?
I had the actual book and was following along. There were many paragraphs and even a chapter that he left out of the audio that was in the book itself. I would get the book as it has a ton of references and sections that for some reason he decided to not include in the audio.
