Are people of color nonexistent?
Revisado: 01-07-22
It seems, in Dr. Smith’s world there are no women of intellect, no people of color or people who have a normal sex drive. Aside from those glaring lacked this is a very interesting read .

Female narrator ?

Scott Brick is a wonderful narrator and I enjoyed listening to his voice in every book he’s married since Dune. However, I would enjoy listening to a feminine voice doing Joey much more

Historia
Evan Smoak lives by his own code. Once he was known as Orphan X. Trained as an off-the-books government assassin and spoken about only in whispers, Evan Smoak was one of the most talented - and most feared - men in the Program. But he broke free and reinvented himself as The Nowhere Man, a figure shrouded in mystery, known for helping the truly desperate. If anyone is truly desperate, it’s Max Merriweather.

I hope to see him grow....
Revisado: 03-06-20
Evan is evolving but still has a long hard road ahead. He's finally allowed Mia into his life, inextricably, however I believe her black and white world and his evolving world will drive them apart. I'd like Gregg to explore this aspect more than he has. I believe there is another adventure in store for Evan and Mia, or at least, I hope there is.
This was an exciting read which introduced many threads that could be explored. I am hoping Superman is not dead just taking a break to find himself.

Historia
Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

This can't be the end!
Revisado: 02-21-18
Would you consider the audio edition of Oathbringer to be better than the print version?
i have know way of knowing because, of an injury to my brain, coordinative activities( such as focusing my eyes) are very difficult for me. Therefore, I don't read and am reliant upon Audible, Books in Motion and other such entities provide what I otherwise would read.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Oathbringer?
The minor characters finally showed how necessary they are to the furtherance of the narrative. I'm happy that Dalinar has finally taken responsibility for his past and used it to become a better person. I wish Kaladin would have a similar growth spurt. He seems to feel there is always one right way to live and berates himself for not reaching this impossible standard. Thus is momentarily paralyzed when someone doesn't behave according to his predictions.
Have you listened to any of Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't heard them elsewhere
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes to both. It made me long for a finale greater than Oathbringer to wrap this epic up.
Any additional comments?
i congratulate Brandon Sanderson for his visionary work I wish we had a literate occupant in the Wine House to recommend tis book to.

Even better than book 1!
Revisado: 11-18-15
What did you love best about Words of Radiance?
It was even blend of a morality play and a fairy tale. Usually, in one of fantasies the hero gets the girl, everyone is taken care of and wounds magically heal. Fortune flows everywhere. I'm happy to say that this one surpassed expectations and left me begging him for more. The hero didn't get the girl, injustice is still class conscious and our hero still has more work ahead of hm.
What did you like best about this story?
The story was well thought out and the characters each had to evolve to further the plot. I would still rather that Shallan realize that her values need tweaking Jasnah needs to stay in one place long enough to finish a job and Khalladan shows his immaturity in the choices he makes. But that is what makes it such a great listen. You're not quite satisfied with anyone's growth. I'm chomping at the bit for the next volume of The Stormlight Archive.
What about Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s performance did you like?
I loved the feel of Kate's Novonie (I'm not sure of the spelling) the king's mother, in the first book but she suddenly aged her in the end of this one as did Michael. I love their portrayals of the various characters in each book especially the whining voice of the king.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I couldn't do the series justice.
Any additional comments?
I'm begging you Brandon, stop with the "Mistborn"and finish Stormlight, I'm dying here!
