a satisfying conclusion
Revisado: 01-20-22
this isn't the best of the series, maybe the best of the last trilogy. it does everything it needs to do. the smaller scope of the story feels more focused with it's characters and stories.
it's a good end, and I am glad it got that, I love the characters and so do the authors, and you can feel it being tough to say goodbye. but all stories end.

Historia
In The Conquest of Bread, first published in 1892, Kropotkin set out his ideas on how his heightened idealism could work. It was all the more extraordinary because he was born into an aristocratic land-owning family - with some 1,200 male serfs - though from his student years his liberal views and his fixation on the need for social change saw him take a revolutionary path. This led rapidly to decades of exile. It is a passionate, even a fierce polemic for dramatic social change.

Combining historical and geopolitical analysis with an absorbing narrative, Kotkin draws upon extensive research, including memoirs by dozens of insiders and senior figures, to illuminate the factors that led to the demise of Communism and the USSR. The new edition puts the collapse in the context of the global economic and political changes from the 1970s to the present day. Kotkin creates a compelling profile of post-Soviet Russia.

without getting into specifics. This book is a great study into the struggles of making and keeping a State for liberty, and the many pitfalls that come with it.

Historia
Thirteen hundred gates have opened to solar systems around the galaxy. But as humanity builds its interstellar empire in the alien ruins, the mysteries and threats grow deeper. In the dead systems where gates lead to stranger things than alien planets, Elvi Okoye begins a desperate search to discover the nature of a genocide that happened before the first human beings existed and to find weapons to fight a war against forces at the edge of the imaginable. But the price of that knowledge may be higher than she can pay.

One of the best Sci Fi series
Revisado: 04-04-19
A great entry in one of the best sci fi series of our generation.
A back to form for the series, after a bit of a lull in the last two entries. I am sad that I am done, and I need the next one already.

Historia
The fourth book in the NYT best-selling Expanse series, Cibola Burn sees the crew of the Rocinante on a new frontier, as the rush to colonize the new planets threatens to outrun law and order and give way to war and chaos. Enter a new frontier. "An empty apartment, a missing family, that's creepy. But this is like finding a military base with no one on it. Fighters and tanks idling on the runway with no drivers. This is bad juju. Something wrong happened here. What you should do is tell everyone to leave".

The Science Fiction series of our age
Revisado: 05-15-18
The audio book itself is probably the best audiobook performance I have heard. Every book should be performed this way.
Cibola Burn, it's like a reflection on our times. You can take this as a parallel for America's imperialist policies, Israel and Palestinian or however. It's just amazing writing.
